Zone1 "Woke" vs. Jesus: Some of the Many Stark Differences

when he explains that he shall come again to judge all people and will look favorably on those who welcomed a stranger ...

the very parable of noah, the religion of antiquity - the triumph of good vs evil - final judgement will occur after the conclusion who were victorious the fate of all who remained - after the passing of the last of either.

welcoming strangers seems a bit woke, doesnt it?
Welcoming strangers is Biblical. Note, the word 'strangers' as opposed to 'lawbreakers'. Also...remember that people that command was given to was also given the command to remain apart from those who were not of their nation/Jews.

Here is the irony: If the Woke want to be seen as following the Bible, following God why do they need another name? If the Woke can stand on their own, why suddenly start using the Bible in a rather feeble attempt to white-wash and/or justify who they are?

In another thread, it was said the definition of Woke is to be aware of and follow social issues. People of faith, people of the Bible place God first in one's life and to follow Him. To do anything other is to pursue, follow an idol.

Do they cheat on three wives? Do they sleep with women (plural) in the porn industry and then hawk Bibles?
.

So you think adultery is a worse sin than murder?

.

Why do you suppose that people believe that the wicked will be destroyed at his second coming? Why do you think they will be burned at his coming? Let me tell you. The reason it is believed is because it is stated in scripture. Do you believe in the scriptures? Would you like me to quote them for you?
.

The devil can quote scripture. The losers like the one you're speaking to prove this and believe that their spin on scripture is the right one.

.

I am not prophesying but based on my studies of scripture that is my best guess as to when Jesus will return based on my person belief. You don't have to agree. I understand that there have been those who have claimed to know the day and the hour of our Lord's second coming but I don't claim to know that. I just feel that the time is drawing nigh and my best guest from studying the signs of the times and what has been prophesied in scripture is that it will come within that time frame. It is not a prophesy but just my best guess!
.

Only the Lord knows the day and the hour of His coming.

But I agree -- it feels like soon.

Jesus was crucified for lawbreaking. The laws of men, but not the laws of God. If the stories of Jesus teach us anything, they should teach us the social injustice of the roman empire.

When you say the bible says something, provide a verse, i.e. about those not in their nation.

Jesus broke no laws. The Bible is clear that he was first framed and then betrayed. Recall at the trial Pilate asked him about his Kingdom. (Rome crucified for treason, for attempting to overthrow their rule.) Jesus replied his kingdom wasn't in this world. Pilate then wanted to release him, and washed his hands of the entire business. Jesus followed the laws of the Roman Empire and taught others. "Give to Caesar what his Caesar's..."

Those who don't know the Bible well enough to recognize what is in the Bible should read the Bible. Then they will also recognize why those who do know the Bible can point out why Jesus and Woke have nothing to do with the other. Jesus follows God the Father, and Him alone. Jesus is one with the Father. Jesus is leader, not follower; he leads to God alone. He is not a leader of any other social or political issues. God, and God alone.

When i say Jesus broke the law, I am referring to the laws of the governing power at the time, the roman empire. It is described here. Yes Pilate defended Jesus, But from the perspective of majority powers of roman state at the time:
Jesus was executed for treason
Jesus was tried by both the Roman state and the Kingdom of Herod
The mob called for Jesus' execution
Jesus was seen as an anti-government agitator

And, since the bible is relatively large. typically more than 750k words and at least 1,200 pages. Its always useful to refer to the verse number due to this reality.

Then they will also recognize why those who do know the Bible can point out why Jesus and Woke have nothing to do with the other.

that's because those that wrote the 4th century christian bible were the crucifiers, desert dwellers who only think of their needs and no one else's - much as the philosophy expressed by meriweather having nothing to do with jesus and everything to do with the false desert religions.

Jesus would be considered WOKE. today.
In your dreams. How long do you think you and other woke liberals would claim Jesus as a fellow woke devotee after He repeated his teaching that marriage is only between a man and a woman, that homosexuality is a serious sin, that there are only two genders, that when He returns the wicked will be burned to stubble, etc.?

Yeah, your phony posturing would last about 1 second, and then you'd be condemning Him as a bigot, homophobe, transphobe, etc.

All your longwinded garbage is inaccurate.
No, it is not.

No, it is not.
I would continue claiming Jesus to be a woke devotee, because I am not gay or did I ever marry another man. Since Jesus is concerned about more than the two obsessions you right-wingers have, how long would you support Jesus as he chastises you for following a serial adulterer? Because Jesus taught that adultery was a sin just as much as homosexuality. What would you say to Jesus demands that you do for the poor and that the rich must use their blessings to do so? What would you say to Jesus when he tells you that work isn't required, that the government is to make certain to care for the east of them? What would you say to Jesus when he says that if you have produced excess, leave it out so the poor can have it for free? These things are taught so then your obsession wth homosexuality misses many more teachings of Jesus.

Mike, good to see you back. Please give scripture and verse for your assertions that "Jesus as a fellow woke devotee after He repeated his teaching that marriage is only between a man and a woman, that homosexuality is a serious sin, that there are only two genders..." from the Holy Bible.

Could you cite the verses where Jesus said that?

Still not scripture and verse from so-called Christians.

Jesus really did not look like Michaelangelo's boyfriend.

that when He returns the wicked will be burned to stubble, etc.?

that much is true were that be all that is left ...

considering the heavenly exemplars were all swingers - mary joseph jesus and mary m - it could well be m1 is the one that isn't around when jesus returns to greet those who triumphed in good.

No, your obsession with wokeness is causing you to miss the forest for the trees. Most of your fellow woke liberals don't believe in God, reject the Bible as myth, see nothing wrong with adultery, see nothing wrong with pornography, see nothing wrong with fornication, reject the very notion of Satan as a silly myth, reject the Second Coming as a silly myth, reject traditional marriage as outdated and exploitative, see nothing wrong with abortion, etc., etc.

You are misapplying Jesus's teachings about helping the poor. He also taught that you can and should work and pay your own way as much as possible. He taught voluntary giving, not confiscatory government taxation that pays people not to work and that encourages fathers not to live in the home.
