There are numerous stark differences between modern "woke" ideology and the teachings of Jesus and His apostles.

For starters. Jesus believed in God and said God was His Father. The vast majority of woke liberals don't believe in a supreme being.

Jesus and His apostles taught the Earth was created, but woke liberals think the idea that the Earth was created is backward and unscientific. (It's actually quite scientific, whereas macroevolution is what is backward and unscientific.)

Jesus and His apostles promised He would return, i.e., the Second Coming. Woke liberals view the Second Coming as a myth.

Jesus taught that Satan is a real being and that he is a threat to all people. Every woke liberal I've encountered thinks it's silly to believe there is such a being as Satan. They've expressed the view that believing in Satan is as silly as believing in the boogey man.

Jesus believed in the Old Testament as the inspired word of God. I've never met or heard of a woke liberal who believes the Old Testament is the word of God. Every woke liberal I've encountered thinks the Old Testament is unreliable, bigoted, homophobic, etc. They think the same thing of the New Testament.

Jesus taught that marriage is only between a man and a woman. Woke leftists view this teaching as bigoted, intolerant, and homophobic.

Jesus taught that looking upon a woman other than your wife and lusting after her is sinful, which obviously makes pornography sinful. Yet, liberal groups have filed lawsuits against states that have taken modest steps to prevent minors from accessing porn sites. One woke leftist here has called those steps "nanny state." I'd bet good money that a large percentage of woke liberals view porn.

Jesus's apostles, who communicated with him in person after He was resurrected and received revelation from Him through the Holy Ghost, taught that sex before/outside marriage is a serious sin that will prevent a person from entering the kingdom of heaven. Woke liberals view this teaching as archaic and impractical.

The Apostle Paul, echoing God's teachings in the Old Testament, condemned homosexuality as unnatural and listed it among the sins that will keep people out of the kingdom of heaven. Woke liberals claim homosexuality is normal and innocent.

The Gospel of Luke says that John the Baptist "leaped for joy" in his mother's womb when Jesus's mother, Mary, greeted John's mother. This clearly implies personhood for the preborn John the Baptist. The Old Testament stresses the value of babies in the womb. Exodus 21 even says that if a man strikes a pregnant woman, even while fighting another man, and causes her to give birth prematurely (not a miscarriage, but premature birth), and thereby causes injury to the baby and/or to the mother, he is to be punished. If the baby alone is injured, the offender is to be punished. Yet, woke liberals support unrestricted elective abortion, even in the final week of pregnancy.

Jesus would be considered WOKE. today. All your longwinded garbage is inaccurate.

Also, God does not make mistakes. Woke liberals believe he puts people in the wrong (gender) body.

You have quite the slanted conception of Jesus’ message. If you want the real basis of his teachings, you need to consult Matt.5-7.

he completely screwed up his directions to the bible writers on the Adam and Eve bunk. Now the whole book is being rejected as being literally true!

Well, except to 'the Hawk'!

LOL

He most certainly would not. He believes in Kings and Kingdoms, walled cities, that children are placed in the womb by God, that homosexuality is abhorrent, doesn't think gluttony is beautiful, and that anyone that abuses children would be better off anchored with a mill stone and thrown into the ocean.

Actually, it remains the most purchased book in history. Now more than ever.

According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, while overall book sales in 2024 are up 1%, sales of the Bible are up 22%. Through October, 13.7 million Bibles were purchased and it was the dominant bestseller.

You know why? Because 2,000 years ago, Jesus told us what to look for in the end times, that would culminate in His return. We are seeing those things coming together for the first time.

I think you're right about bible sales being stimulated by visons of end times again.

Ding, me, and all the Christians on this board are not 'literal' believers in the bibles being true. The Hawk is a literal believer in the bibles and he believes it's all the true word of the god. That includes Genesis and all the utterly impossible hocus-pocus supernatural bullsh-t.

My question to you: Are you a literal believer too?

How about life in the big fish for 3 days? The big flood? Genesis?

Come on ram,, no backsliding now?

Jesus never said a thing about homosexuality. MAGA lies.

Jesus said very little about the End Times. I think you’re talking about that bad acid trip called ‘Revelations’, which should never have been included in the canon. It’s the focus of all the weirdest parts of Christianity and is essentially a fairy tale or horror story to scare kids, but should not be considered more than literature by thinking adults.

Actually he did mention the end times.

Mentioned, yes, but said very little. Most of what is said about it comes from ‘Revelations’, which has nothing to do with snything Jesus said, but appears to be some sort of nightmare the author had.

Actually, it was a series of visions given to John. He described what he saw in the language of that day.
