The numbers can only be estimated. There are over 724,000 transgender youths (13-17). Approximately 40% of the 15-17 range participate in high school sports. That is approximately 122,000 trans kids competing. If it is boys competing as girls, it is MILLIONS of young women who are forced to share a locker room with boys, and have their awards that they work all year for taken away by boys pretending to be girls. That is wrong on every level. Wake up.
"Precise, nationwide data on the exact number of transgender high school athletes is unavailable due to privacy laws and varying state policies, but studies suggest they represent a very small percentage of the roughly 6 million to 8 million total high school athletes. While one estimate suggests up to 122,000 trans youth could be playing based on participation rates, actual identified participation is rare."
I don't think they should be able to play professional sports or compete in high level competition for, and/or receive scholarships to colleges either. They shouldn't be able to drop down in class based on medically controlled hormone levels in their bodies to make them weaker. As a male athlete I wasn't able to use hormones to increase my strength to compete with my peers.
