Forgiving "70 times 7" is a biblical principle meaning that forgiveness must be infinite, limitless, and unconditional. The phrase originates from the Gospel of Matthew 18:21-22 in the Christian New Testament. [1, 2, 3, 4]When I say Jesus, I mean the REAL Jesus. Not the Jesus that people look through rose colored glasses saying that Jesus loves everybody therefore He accepts you exactly as you are and you don't have to repent if you're gay and can continue living in your lifestyle. Whereas I lost track how many times that in the Bible that Jesus warned people they're going to be thrown into the lake of fire if they don't repent.
So, you AREN'T putting your faith in Jesus, but in the Old Testament, then.
I figure that since Jesus established a New Testament, He would know what was really important and what was not. He talks about SO many things, that it strikes me as a bit odd to focus on that which he never mentioned, instead.
When I read the red letters, I don't see Jesus saying anything about gay people.
Saul, who persecuted the followers of Jesus, had some strong opinions, though.
Saul never met Jesus when Jesus was alive.Saul got his message from Jesus Christ. (Gal. 1:11-12) "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."
Do you believe that?

I have to agree with everyone else. God and Jesus does love everyone right where they are. That UNCONDITIONAL love is what inspires us to transform to His way of thinking & doing.
Somewhere in the Bible, it does say that 'He found me while I was still in my sin' or 'He brought me out of my sin'......or something to that effect. And in my own experience that is exactly what happened. I was living a life of sin and was constantly being met with God, Faith or whatever like happenings. Then it became my choice of accepting Him and giving up that sinful life......or not. I chose Him.
Also remember, no one sin is greater than any other because all sin is against Gods will. So homosexuality is just as much a sin as murder, or blasphemy or not honoring your parents or any other sin.
Yeah but nobody is arguing all of that. People still need to repent from their sins and stop living a sinful lifestyle. Otherwise, you aren't really saved. That's my point.
Matthew 7:15The Old Testament is all about Jesus. (Luke 24:7) (Luke 24:44)
Do you think Jesus thought that was important?

It doesn't usually happen overnight either. It takes time and only God knows what's going on inside.
Think of the story of the seed scattered on the ground........some didn't grow at all, some took root and grew only to be choked out by the weeds, and others grew to harvest.
While we are called to follow Him and obey His commands, we are also told not to judge others who still live in sin because we too are sinners.......even as believers we continue to sin. Nobody on this earth is perfect and is why we need Jesus as our intercessor.
How many times does God have to say something so that you claim to believe it? Do you believe what is said a lot in the Bible?

Matthew 7:15
Saul never met Jesus when Jesus was alive.
He is Jesus' usurper.
All this through Sauls claims, only. That's not what (Gal. 1:11-12) says. What now?

I had to charge my phone so I couldn't respond right away and I agree, but they still need to be told to repent due to the fact that they're living in sin. They have to have both sides of the message but spoken in love and not fear mongering.
All this through Sauls claims, only.
He was a Pharisee who persecuted Jesus' followers and saw an opportunity to co-opt the entire movement. Once again, read Matthew 7:15
Paul stressed faith over works.
Jesus did not.
