Zone1 Why is the MOU with Iran a "bad deal?"

The deal isn't.

It's a tactical and political ploy to corner Iran. They are already falling for the trap.

The US made outrageous concessions to get them to the table without any intention of fulfilling them. Iran doesn't know that. Now they are painting themselves into a corner

Let us know when we can make the revision.

As of press time, the Wikipedia page for "2026 Iran War" states that the outcome of the war was "Iranian victory."

Wiki? How funny. Could you also cut and paste reliably silly propaganda from other internet tabloids?

Okay...so
that $25 Billion that is being unfrozen...you're saying that isn't going to happen?
that the sactions being lifted isn't going to happen either?

Just tossing this out there....aren't they going to find that out really quickly? The $300B is conditional and, depending on who you ask, the conditions are fluid and open to interpretation. But the $25B and the sanctions...are you saying that those aren't going to happen?

I'm saying they are treading thin ice. At this rate Reza Pahlavi will be utilizing it, not the the current leadership.

It is an intricate setup of the Iranian leadership. And they are currently falling for it.

I don't see where Trump's handling of things got us anywhere except 8 years of non-monitoring.
Below are excerpts from Obama's and Trump's deals:

Obama 2016:

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be requested to monitor
and verify the voluntary nuclear-related measures as detailed in this JCPOA. The
IAEA will be requested to provide regular updates to the Board of Governors, and
as provided for in this JCPOA, to the UN Security Council. All relevant rules and
regulations of the IAEA with regard to the protection of information will be fully
observed by all parties involved.

Trump 2026:

8. The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms that it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched material pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon, in accordance with the schedule mentioned in paragraph 7, with the minimum methodology to be down blending on-site, under the supervision of the IAEA.

Note (from A.I.):
The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) is the world's primary intergovernmental organization for scientific and technical cooperation in the nuclear field. Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, it operates as an autonomous organization within the United Nations system, tasked with promoting the peaceful use of nuclear technology while preventing its use for military purposes.

So you're not really saying anything at all.

I think you've fallen and hit your head a great many times.

Under the laughable JCPoA, Obama allowed your mullocrats to refuse inspections of their nuke site.

Just say Duh!

As a mod, you folks kinda make me do that on a regular basis.

Anyway. I've been following this conflict since Midnight Hammer dropped. I follow almost every OSINT (Open Source INTelligence) channel on X.

So, no, I'm not talking out of my arse here.

Sure you are....

They're going to know immediately if $25B isn't in an account somehwere. They're going to know if suddenly nobody wants to buy petroleum for their refineries--it's pretty much the most valuable resource on the planet. There is very little in the deal for them to "fall for".....

"Skating on thin ice" is about the silliest thing you could have said to show us that you're NOT talking out of your arse or any other body part below your neck.

Says the spitting image of the Dunning Kruger effect.

It is not a bad deal.

In fact, after the first weeks of the war on Iran, it would have been nearly impossible to make a "bad deal." Not unless another Obiden took the White House and started sending pallets of cash again.

The new generation of Mullahs is painfully aware of what happened to the previous generation of Mullahs. If there is a New Iranian Navy, some of the boats will have glass bottoms so they can see the Old Iranian Navy. The purported leader is very literally made out of cardboard and his speeches are performed by a voice actor, leaving the fractured Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp as the armed might of the phantom Mullah government.

All that said, the Dems may finally be right about Iran not trying to build a nuclear weapon.

I'll take "word soup" for 200 Alex!

Its a great deal. Had we offered it before we lost 13 American soldiers and $100B in material goods and untold billions due to Trumplation...they would have taken it in a heartbeat.
