NO Deal!! Iran Won't Give Up Their Nuclear Weapons

I sure hope that you're right but right now it appears that Trump's deal is to make a deal. I miss the days back when he was no more mister nice guy.

Well, those were different times and situations. If Trump were to try that now, he'd be labelled a dictator or tyrant or megalomaniac. The Dems are already slobbering over wanting to impeach the guy--- just imagine what Trump could really accomplish if he was not constantly shackled by the malfeasance of the anti-America Pro-Iran seditious insurrectionist Leftwing democrats.

This thread is a great example of why the left likes to call MAGA supporters a cult. There seems to be a strange, unwavering belief that, despite any evidence to the contrary, Trump is always in control, always a step or three ahead of everyone else, always secretly 'playing 4-D chess' and things are going exactly how he wants them to. It's maddening. There's nothing wrong with listening to what he says and admitting when those things are wrong, or don't come to fruition.

This war that's not a war that's a war again has not gone the way Trump seemingly expected. He's far from the first president for that to be true about. 'No plan survives contact with the enemy', as the adage goes. Is that so terrible to say? Is it some sort of horrible disloyalty to MAGA to speak a word against Trump?

I remember the anger about the JCPOA. It's giving Iran billions of dollars! The horror! Now it seems part of the current MoU is for Iran to get over $300 billion, and the response is....it's not taxpayer money. I could be mistaken, but I don't remember the JCPOA issue being that Iran was getting taxpayer money, just that they were being given so much money at all. The Strait of Hormuz was open under the JCPOA and Iran did not extract any fees for travel through it. Now the MoU leaves open the door for Iran to get fees, but Trump is a master deal-maker! The JCPOA removed sanctions related to Iran's nuclear program, but not for other things (human-rights violations, missile program, etc.). The MoU says the US will remove ALL sanctions against Iran. But Trump is a master deal-maker, and the Obama deal was the worst thing ever!

I'm not trying to endorse Joe Biden, or Kamala Harris, or anyone on the political left. Who knows what insanity we might have had if Biden had been re-elected and fallen deeper into dementia? If you hate the left, have at it. But people, please, you don't have to frame everything Trump does as a clear victory! If all the evidence suggests that Trump did something less-than-great, you don't have to assume he's secretly doing something different and eventually will show everyone!

I hope this war ends with the US at least in as good a position as we were in before it began. If Trump is secretly executing a plan that will put the country in a much better position than it was in before this started, great! Until there's some evidence of that, though, I'm not going to make that assumption. Why do some of you?

The "allies" want the US to save them from "fees" for insurance from Iran. Why don't they just send a few escorts to protect the international waters from piracy? Hormuz can be fully open with a little effort.

From the link:
"US allies led by the UK are desperately pushing the Trump administration to not accept or normalise Iran’s attempts to try to introduce fees to pass the strait, according to a senior official. The industry has warned tolls would break with international maritime law and set a dangerous precedent that could be mirrored in other waterways.

“At present, this insurance is provided free of charge to the vessel owner, with all expenses covered by the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the Iranian document said. “The PGSA reserves the right to introduce insurance fees in the future, which will be determined by the relevant insurer. Owners will then be required to purchase and renew coverage accordingly.”

Visible oil flows through the waterway slowed sharply on Friday. While one oil supertanker popped up near Muscat, Oman, suggesting it had exited the Persian Gulf, there were no other observable shipments from ships’ transponders. Still, millions of barrels have begun to flow out in recent weeks via the southern route near Oman, often with their transponders switched off, meaning that it’s possible a larger volume has crossed than is currently visible."

I did, and you are full of nonsense.
Look at the bottom two lines dumbo. The EU has 450m people and the US has 331m, start at 2014...

So, kyzr goober, wants lots of inflation instead of lots and lots of inflation, when, in fact, in 2024, we were at 3%.

As long as we don’t get near the disaster that Biden brought us - 9%.
... the one caused by Orange Asshole's disastrous handling of Covid, resulting in supply/demand and shipping dislocations?

That one?

You are going to get clobbered this fall in the elections?
