Zone1 Why is it so tough to believe in God?

So.

It means that YOU are full of shit. Jesus being called the first and the last doesn't necessarily equate with what was written by Isaiah calling God the first and the last. Jesus was accused by his philosophical enemies of claiming equality with God to discredit his teachings because even in the first century, as it remains to this day, anyone who claims to be or thinks that they are God is insane.

Jesus was also referred to as "the bright and morning star", a clear reference to Lucifer. Your false mangod that claimed to be God. (Rev 22:16)

“How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn. You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! (Isaiah 14:12)

But don't worry. I heard that the real Jesus is about to appear ANY MINUTE to destroy the Antichrist with the breath of his mouth (the breath of life) and the brightness of his coming." (2 Thessalonians 2:8)

"To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— he will rule them with an iron rod and will dash them to pieces like pottery—just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give him the morning star. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches." (Rev 2:26)

So, I wasn't asking you.

As usual, you contradict yourself. You say the term the first and the last in (Is. 44:6), "Thus saith the LORD...I am the first and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.", does not equate with what Jesus called Himself in (Rev. 22:13). "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."

But now you want to say the 'morning star' in (Rev. 22:16) does refer to 'son of the morning' in (Is. 14:12). You simply make up what you want to believe. Choosing verses to create your false god. Oxymoron.

Note also, how Jesus equates Himself as God in (Is. 44:6) and (Rev. 22:13). I know that upsets your perverted little heart.

As for Lucifer in (Is. 14:12) being 'son of the morning', that is describing Lucifer before his fall. (Ez. 28:13-15). He was the morning star. But no more. Now it is given to the Man Jesus Christ, the God/Man. And Jesus in turn will give it to His followers. (Rev. 2:28)

At being a normal human? Really god awful. Just, embarrassing.

But that is what the Bible says, and that is what I believe. It doesn't embarrass me. Why should it embarrass you? You are not required to believe it.

Yet your upset because I believe it.

Neato.

But we were working on you acting like a normal human for 5 minutes and understanding the minds of others.

But I suppose that requires you to be a sentient creature with capacity for original thought and choice.

But now I know you're just a bible bot, and if I want your thoughts, I will just turn on the most despicable televangelist on the fuzziest channel I can find.

As I have told, you're on a fool's errand. If being abnormal because I am a believer in Christ, then I will be abnormal.

Gee, point out some original thought you have produced. All I hear from you and other atheists is the same old pissing and moaning about people believing the Bible and believing in God and Jesus Christ.

Now you're lying. You want my thoughts, that's why you reply to my posts. If you don't want my thoughts just shut up.

I figured that out. As I just said.

Mindless sheep. Can't even get a grasp on basic human traits, like empathy.

Can't even attempt to understand the mind of anyone not totally brainwashed by iron age mythology.

This is a severe emotional and intellectual handicap.

Indeed, we who are believers are sheep who need the Shephard.

A handicap that I and believers need.

Yes, I know that's your mental handicap.

This has been a fine demonstration of what religion can do to a mind. Very sad.

Be sad if you like.

(Ps. 14:1-7) "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

"The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

"They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no not one.

"Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? Who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

"There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

"Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

"Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad."

For myself, I too rejoice.

Can we start with three concepts that you gauge prevent people of faith from understanding "other humans"?
No, we can just look at the 4 page demonstration.

It's a willful refusal. And many people of faith would have no problem understanding the simple concept presented, that you just tried to bait and switch into a "general understanding". I would bet you are one of them.

I don't fall for such parlor tricks, so you have the wrong guy. But I do listen, if you have other points to make.

Actually, I haven't the faintest clue of what you are talking about. I probably missed a lot, not feeling well the past ten days. However, as you have no interest in catching me up, never mind. I had no bait in mind, no switch. Carry on with my apologies for unwittingly stepping on your toes.

Believing is not an excuse. Where did you get that idea? Where have I contrived innocence?

- in fact that is the excuse both before and after the persecution and victimization of the innocent christianity is based on and has been its life blood since its beginning in the 4th century.

In the Bible belief is not an excuse. It is the main element necessary to move God on the believer's behalf. By faith. And it is the only element.

And it pisses off the atheists.

(Ps. 2:1-12) " Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

"The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

"Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

"He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

"Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

"Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

"I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

"Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

"Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

"Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

"Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

"Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him."
