Zone1 Why is it so tough to believe in God?

I my opinion, Knock and it will be opened to you; ask and you shall receive should be given even more weight. This takes nothing away from Ephesians.
Ok. I knocked and no evidence of a god was opened to me.. I asked questions, and no religious person gave me an answer more pertinent than "pray harder". What now?

Clearly you don't understand Paschal's Wager. Pascal wasn't arguing just in case. Pascal was arguing that the benefits of belief are so numerous and material that even if God doesn't exist the benefit of believing in God justifies the belief in and of itself.

In other words, Pascal was arguing the functional advantage of belief. Which according to the Darwinian principle of natural selection explains why belief in God has existed in overwhelming numbers in every society since the beginning of man.
Superstition Is a Drag on Evolution

Everyone does. Bu4 not every way goes to G-d. Unless a person repents and trusts Christ for their Salvation, they are lost. And no religion, no amount of good works can save your soul.
So Jews, Muslims, and Hindus can get into heaven, they just need to convert to Christianity first?

If we are being manipulated and made to do things, then we have no free will. Are you sure you want to keep making that argument?

As for your belief that science has no place in understanding the invisible qualities of God, maybe check out Romans 1:19-20.

Science is the study of nature to discover the order within nature so as to be able to make predictions of nature.

"The physical world is entirely abstract and without ‘actuality’ apart from its linkage to consciousness. It is primarily physicists who have expressed most clearly and forthrightly this pervasive relationship between mind and matter, and indeed at times the primacy of mind." Arthur Eddington wrote, “the stuff of the world is mind‑stuff. The mind‑stuff is not spread in space and time." Von Weizsacker stated what he called his “Identity Hypothesis; that consciousness and matter are different aspects of the same reality. In 1952 Wolfgang Pauli said, "the only acceptable point of view appears to be the one that recognizes both sides of reality -- the quantitative and the qualitative, the physical and the psychical -- as compatible with each other, and can embrace them simultaneously . . . It would be most satisfactory of all if physis and psyche (i.e., matter and mind) could be seen as complementary aspects of the same reality.

Mind, rather than emerging as a late outgrowth in the evolution of life, has existed always as the matrix, the source and condition of physical reality - that the stuff of which physical reality is composed is mind-stuff. It is the constant presence of Mind that has composed a physical universe that breeds life, and so eventually evolves creatures that know and create." ~George Wald
Tree Falling in a Forest Riddle's Intentional Confusion

In a world where no thought exists, everything else would still exist. Beware of the puzzles Thought Control gives us.

I don’t think recognizing that science deals in provisional explanations rather than absolute certainty ‘cripples’ anyone’s mind. Quite the opposite, it’s what keeps inquiry alive.

The moment you settle into the comfort of absolute certainty, you close the door to further questioning. That’s dogmatism, whether in religion or science.

So it’s not perfectionism, it’s openness. And openness prevents paralysis, because it keeps you moving forward instead of locking you into rigid answers.
A College Is a House-of-Lies Restaurant

Why do you refuse to discuss the way the Eweniversities practice mind-control?

Sure you do. Everything is choice.

At any point in your life you are the sum of your choices. To see it any other way means you believe you don't have control of your destiny. Is that how you see your life?
Proof That Religion Is a Weapon of Secular Tyranny

So no one has power over us? I can see where this is going.

Faith in Jesus Christ, in God, comes from God alone. If He doesn't give it, you don't get it. If He doesn't give it, you can't produce it.

I can't get it. God doesn't give it.

Many pretenders will say they have it, but they don't. And it doesn't take long to see that they don't.

I don't get faith in God.

And if you have it, it's not hard to believe. In fact, it is impossible to not believe.

Know some significance.

The flipside of Pascal's wager...

What if you are wrong, and you chose the wrong god and are going straight to hell?
All of these religions think they are the only one that will get to heaven

"What if you are wrong?"

What if you are wrong, and the correct god says things like, "Thou shalt have no gods before me"?

Welp, you had gods before him, and I didn't.

Looks like I win.

They need to trust Jesus, and Him alone for their salvation.
Most people who ever lived didn't 'trust Jesus. Hell must be a very crowded place. Please remind about God being loving but still chooses eternal punishment for most of his creations.

That is the problem with most religions

They insist on a vengeful God
You don’t follow the right God you are destined for helll

No religion accepts a loving God who does not insist on worshiping correctly but wants people to love each other and.lead a good life

It is tough, for an Adult, to believe in Santa Claus or the Fairy Godmother. We outgrow such things as we mature. Some never mature enough and still believe the fairy tales told to them by Democrats like the current NYC Mayor.
