Why Evolution is a Fairytale for Grown-Ups

You mean it is scientific evidence that you don't understand. Agreed. You've demonstrated the depth of your ignorance so I'll just say come back when you have something to offer instead of ignorant denials.
how can I understand something thats never been presented??

Yes, it is. That's how evolution happens. Duh.

Who revived this idiotic thread anyway?
then why do they call it breeding and not evolution,,

a dog gives birth to dogs and not anything else like evolution claims

science reuires observation,,

who observed thats how the fossil record was created??

how they say the moon was created is still an opinion/theory,,

we can see the moon,, the fossil record doesnt exist anywhere on the planet as illustrated in the pictures,,
Lets take that another step. I drive up to an intersection. 2 cars are there crashed together, but only one had a stop sign. You're saying that since nobody saw it, you can't surmise that that one ran the stop sign?

did it happen 800 million yrs ago??

or did one vehicle start out as a motorcycle and turned into. a car after the crash,,

put it in my hand and lets see what happens,,

I have been asking for 2 days and you refuse to provide it,,
Take it

all that proves is something died and got buried,,

does it have a date stamped on it when it was buried and what it gave birth to before it died??
Progress!. Yes something died and got buried but there is a whole lot than can be learned from it. By scientists if not by you.
  • How old is it?
    • older than the rocks above it
    • younger than the rocks below it
  • What was the environment?
    • marine
      • fresh water
      • salt water
      • brackish water
    • terrestrial
      • forest
      • desert
  • Where was it buried?
    • which continent or ocean
  • What is it's anatomy
    • walk, swim, fly, crawl
    • carnivore, herbivore, omnivore
Etc. You get the idea. Science has been studying fossils for 200 years, they know their stuff.

still waiting for supporting evidence,,

and your list is all the things the assumptions are based on since no one knows the conditions at time of burial,, ie observed it

Dude, what you said to her bothered her all night last night. She came in fuming this morning. I said, "you have to admit the guy made a good point" and she said "NO HE DIDN'T". Finally someone else stepped in and explained to her that theory can mean several different things. "That's just your theory" is different than a SCIENTIFIC theory.

The woman who got offended doesn't understand that if she took a class on evolution and answered the questions on the test honestly, she would fail. And her opinion does NOT hold as much weight as the teacher teaching the class. Evolution is a FACT. But she says "you can't prove it".

Yes we can and have. Through thousands of tests, time, experiments, outcomes, evidence, etc.

Religious people have no problem believing humans evolve moving forward but when you try to reverse engineer it in their heads, that's when they blow a gasket and start getting uncomfortable.

A guy at work pointed out Hindu and Buddist don't have a problem with evolution. It's Christianity that has a problem believing we weren't POOFED on earth by a God. Think about it. My co worker believes that humans started off on earth as adults. Because I told her every human has to start off a baby right? And she said NO. That's not scientific at all.

Remind her that God commands us to be peacemakers where He sets us ... the good in front of us has nothing to do with where we've been ...

Is there a reason she has to believe in evolution? ... because she has to take our word on it ... and give us money ... you know, for research ... but if she "loves her sisters as she loves herself", then who cares if she believes in a young flat Earth? ... God has a different plan for her ...

I disagree. The good in front of us does have to do with where we’ve been.

Example. I spent February in Florida. Saw a lot of rich people enjoying their winters because they went to college, saved heir money, invested wisely, married the right person.

My brother met his wife because he was going to church. The good in front of him is absolutely because of where he’s been.

I had to re read your post to make sense of it. I already found a flaw. Who told you what you wrote? I’ll read the rest.

Not sure I agree "rich people enjoying their winters because ..." is a good example of the works of Jesus ... you know, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, clothing the naked ... works for God, not yourself ...

The flaw is trying to change someone's mind for no apparent reason ...

Why didn’t you just say that.

This woman, gets under my skin. Always butts in. Easily offended. Can’t be wrong. Gets loud. Inappropriate at work.

I don’t remember but I’m sure she butted into a conversation I was having with someone else.

At work? ... file a complaint ... claim you're a Pastafarian and have to smoke pot whenever God is talked about ... see if that gets your boss to stop her from talking about God ...

Yes ... Federal Fair Labor Laws includes religion I believe ... she can't go around insulting people's skin color, age or marital status; so she can't blaspheme God either ... not in the workplace ...

I bothered to learn about evolution ... the science is sound ... but it still makes for horrific social policy ... now that government has the right to abortion, government can start sterilizing undesirables again ... GO Trump GO ...

I have a hard time figuring out what side you are on. The government has the right to abortion or the people have a right to it?

I can't think of anything harsher than telling someone who's only 15 weeks pregnant that they must have the baby.

Trump suggests he’d support a national ban on abortions around 15 weeks of pregnancy

I'm the one telling her I don't believe in God. Boy does that trigger Christians. I tried to explain to her science and religion can co exist. Just not her religion. Because her religion says God POOFED adult land animals into existence and that's how life got started on earth. And she thinks believing in evolution takes just as much faith. She's wrong because there's lots of evidence that does into the THEORY of evolution. Her POOF hypothesis isn't a scientific theory. Not even close.

But you are right. What does it matter? Why am I arguing with this idiot at work?

You haven't heard yet SCOTUS ruled against the individual right to abortion ...

"Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, 597 U.S. 215 (2022), is a landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court in which the court held that the United States Constitution does not confer a right to abortion. The court's decision overruled both Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992), returning to the federal and state legislatures the power to regulate any aspect of abortion not protected by federal statutory law." -- Wikipedia
[emphasis in red is mine]

Your problem is you're trying to discuss these matters with someone who is blind stupid ... try and talk to an actual religious scholar, someone with a college degree in theology ... even Pope Francis accepts ToE is matters where ToE provides answers ... but ToE doesn't answer all questions ... at least not very well ... some societies kill off their physically and mentally disabled ... whereas that's murder in other societies ...

I don't know how deep into biology we can go ... are you familiar with the "alteration of generations" ... granted, within the flowering plants and mammals, the haploid generation is wholly within the parent, and isn't usually considered a generation ... but it still exists, it's still viable within the parent ... these gametes cannot protect themselves, as Christians we're swore to protect those who cannot protect themselves ...

... like unborn children ...

Life began with Adam, or bacteria, and has been continuous ever since ... doesn't change Christian Law "love our brother as we love ourselves" ...

I am aware the supremes are ruling on lower cases to use those cases as precedent to rule on future cases with the ultimate goal of using those new cases for justification that in fact abortion is murder.

It is. That was never in doubt.

The only question is whether the unborn are "persons" under the Constitution.
