People dead for 4 days do not come out of a tomb because their friend said, " Lazarus! Come out!", unless "the tomb" was the place where a ritual purification ritual was going on. Blindness cannot be healed with spit and mud, and dead people do not pop into and out of locked rooms to spook the friends, unless it was in a dream.

As one of the few protestants on this board who switched over from being baptized a Catholic, I can answer this quite succinctly.

The entire protestant denomination came to be to fight the catholics and all their non-Christian teachings. Catholics teach people numerous things which have ZERO references in the bible such as:

1. That saying some set number of prayers forgives you of sin. The bible clearly states only asking the Lord for forgiveness can forgive you of sin. No Earthly actions can do that.

2. They made up a prayer called the "Hail Mary." The problem with it is that it talks about Mary being holy. Mary was not holy. Mary was blessed, but she was not holy.

3. Catholics pray to dead sinners. After relatives die, they pray to the dead. The Lord forbids this as he clearly states that you can pray to the father, son or holy spirit only. Anyone or anything else is a violation of his commandment regarding not taking any other Gods but himself.

4. Catholics have "confession" where they confess their sins to another sinner and so-said that sinner forgives them. The bible clearly states that ONLY God can forgive sin, no Earthly being can do that.

I could go on and on. Catholics are Christians, but their beliefs are so whacky I can see why some would say they aren't Christians at all.

I don’t know about that. There is some evidence to support it to a degree.

As for me, my suggested possible answers to the OP questions were not and are not intended to denigrate Catholicism. My wife and two now grown children were raised Catholic. And, like many religions and faiths, it has its obvious virtues. In my estimation, most people raised with a religious upbringing tend to end up as good people.

I am a Catholic also and we are very few here in East Tennessee / Appalachia.

My NEW neighbor was over my house doing some work for me. He is from Calli and is a stone Jesus Freak, gun nut and Sovereign citizens.

He told me Catholics worship Saints. I told him I am Catholic and that is news to me but I am not going to discuss it with you because you'll just mad. He said NO NO...come one. I told him we pray to saints but in reality we pray with the Saints and it has entered our language as being said that way.

He got all huffy and told me I was wrong. I said dude I've been a Catholic all 69 years of my life and you are wrong. Besides our relationship to Saints is biblical...the word Jesus himself He said show to me in my bible and he got further pissed off when I told him we use the original bible. He said well show it to me anyhow.

I said no problem and went to CatholicAnswers.com and looked it up. The next day I went over his house and said...I have the passage. He went nuts on me and I thought I was going to have to call the police...not for my protection. But so this guy could get a mental health check up.

I mean he lost it...screaming at the top on his lungs...I could see the veins in his neck.
