Zone1 Why do so many atheists seem to want to attack religion?

That would be my agnosticism but it only means to me that we know nothing about any such creator of the universe.
I still feel it though, in my bones, but maybe I'm just a dumb person.

Faith doesn't make you dumb, just optimistic.
I don't know if it's optimism, but maybe you're right. Maybe being optimistic in the face of darkness is the bravest and most worthy thing we can do.

Hope is really all any of us have anyway.

In a way, that is the only thing that is really real.
Hope is holy. It's pure. If we don't trust goodness we are lost.

Life is unfair. Everyone should expect to make sacrifices. Given that you see no purpose to this, the best you can expect is to suffer without complaint. Whereas I embrace my sacrifices and find peace and joy. That’s a little bit more than optimism.

If we couldn't measure gravity we never would have put a rover on Mars, or landed a probe on an object flying through space at 34 thousand miles an hour.

We can measure gravity in ways we cannot measure God.
My point is, you are talking about measuring the effects of gravity, but not gravity itself.

If so, what particles make up gravity?

We can also measure the effects of God.

For example, what are the odds life formed by itself?

Zealots and Militant Atheists feel the need to "Convert" other people to their side as a way of distracting themselves from their immediate circumstances in life, as they are not occupied with their surroundings.
I’m not sure I buy that. I believe it is their way of confirming their biases.

Your posts aren’t the posts of an agnostic.

In my opinion, Atheism is a reaction to the abuses and gaslighting that has come out of organized religion. Atheism in itself, is a religion - as they are adamant there is no God, etc. I am not an atheist, nor am I a Christian, both sides of this argument are full of the same type of behavior towards one another. Nothing productive is done by putting the two in a room and having them argue endlessly, walking away with no lesson at the end.

I've seen a ton of these videos where Christians, Atheists and others argue about God, etc, and I walk away with no better conclusion than the one that I already have.
It is obvious that you are not an atheist because you don't know what an atheist is. Some atheist are adamant that no gods exit, but that is not a defining trait of atheism. I have not been convinced that a god exist is the only tenant of atheism. Believe what you want. I don't care. I will, however engage in conversation where proof is claimed to be presented.

That's a very worthy thing too, don't you think?
Faith in a fallible finite entity that constantly disappoints you and is doomed to failure?

Not really.

Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

You don't have to have faith in your perfection. I think it's honorable to have faith in your effort though. Even failure is noble if it came from good intention.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Ever heard that saying? And no, it did not come from the Bible.

I may not always succeed, but I believe in my willingness to try. I believe that striving matters, and that’s enough to keep going.

Fair enough.
