Thanks for sharing that. It's very sad to me that there are apparently many people who need matching skin color and matching political beliefs before they can call you friend. I thought the country was headed in that direction, but everything went off the rails over the last 10 years.

Both sides need to face facts. We both have problems like this preacher says to hid congregation, whites aren't the only problem with blacks some of it is their own fault. I enjoy seeing how many are on both sides are acting more responsible. Anytime we disagree the race card is thrown in our face or sometimes violently.

The biggest problem imo is race being exploited by politicians and organizations in order to gain money and power. They use TV and social media and divisive slogans to drive wedges between the people.

I don’t think there are many people who demand same skin color to form friendships. I do think, however, it is difficult for me to be friends with someone who thinks I am either a moron, a white supremacist, and/or a threat to democracy simply because I voted for Trump.

We have had people asking blacks for solutions to racism but what was presented as problems were situations created by white racism. There are whites who know where the problem is and work to end the problem, however whites on the right denigrate and disrespect other members of their own race by calling them thngs like self hating and guilt riidden for trying to do their part to end racism. So why is it that part of the white community understands the problem and it's root cause, but members of the white community who hold a right wing view have such a hard time figuring it out?

What solutions do right wing whites have to solve their inability to do the work necessary to end white racism?

Well I dunno about flac. I've talked to him before, he seems rather fair. Though I do know that Coyote has praised and expressed gratitude for IM's continuing contributions here.

Anyway. Placing that aside, I was just wondering about the logic in it, given the almost identical question, except from opposing perspectives. And neither had supporting links either, so it can't be because of that.

It all has to do with “equity.” If you can’t bring up the average of a certain group to the average of all Americans, you lower the standards. We have seen this will race-based Affirmative Action in college admissions.

Someone remarked it’s the same thing with socialism. You can’t bring the lower class uo to the middle class, so you bring the middle class down. As Biden said, “Americans have to lower their expectations.”

I‘ve done this in my own life as the Dems keep spending, thus increasing inflation and causing the stock market to drop. Whereas I used to go on luxury cruises populated by professionals, I now go on “mainstream” cruises with the working class, since my investments have dropped by a third and I am watching my outflow. More “equity.”
