Here is the solution to negative attitudes toward blacks:

The Republican Idea:

1) Blacks should lower their rate of irresponsibly having children out of wedlock. A good start would be to drop it to no more than TWICE the rate of whites, which would translate to less than half of all black babies born OOW.

2) Doing the above would correlate positively with the associated ills of OOW births - high poverty rates, poor educational rates, and disproportionate crime rates.

3) Tie welfare to work requirements. This would eliminate single mothers with school- age children who refuse to take a part-time job, instead content to go through life never having a job. Then, by the time their kids finish high school, they have work experience and can take a full-time job.

1) Give blacks reparations that amount to hundreds of thousands each. That way, they can go on for more years not working or being responsible.

2) Keep blacks out of jail by refusing to retain them after criminal thugs commit yet another in a long list of offenses. That way, they can go on to commit more crime, knowing how soft Democrats are, and get caught up in a cycle of poverty-welfare-crime, and keep voting for Dems who will give them repararions.

3) Blame whites, call them racists and white supremacists, and teach children that blacks are oppressed by evil whites.

You keep repeating the lie that "out of wedlock" means fatherless. The reality is that the overall OOW rate in the US has climbed for all races, not just black people. People no longer feel the need to get married to someone they don't love simply because someone got preggers.

That doesn't mean the male parent isn't involved in their lives. It just means they aren't married.

Not to mention how many white people get divorced AFTER they have kids.

On top of that, blacks had pretty bad results even in 1964 when the OOW birth rate was 23%.

Not really. Did you know that France has an out of wedlock birth rate of 60%. Yet all the horrible stuff that happens in the Black community

Uh, yeah, I've been hearing Right Wingers say, "put them welfare people to work" since the 1970's. The only guy who came close to doing it is Bill Clinton.

Here's the reality- wait for it - most people on assistance DO work. 40% of households collecting SNAP or Section 8 or Medicaid have at least one household member who works. Most people on TANF (what we commonly consider "welfare") are only on it for a few short years.

Except that no one is giving anyone reparations. If any reparations happen, it's likely to be a token amount.

Okay, if you really want to go there, let's talk about all the white people who commit the same petty offenses, and get probation or supervised release, because their families bail them out and vouch for them.

We are not soft on crime in this country. We lock up 2 milllion people. We have another 7 million on probation or parole. We have made prison a profitable business, and we've made our crime problems worse.

I gave you the solution. You rejected it because it requires something of blacks.

Blacks have no control over racist attitudes of some white people. To sit there behind your keyboard and demand that whites change, or that whites solve the problem, is an exercise in futility.

People can only change THEMSELVES. Thus, blacks would be wise to look at what it is that is leading to racist attitudes - and certainly the high rate of crime plays a big part, along with all these mothers with OOW children they can’t afford, which LEADS to poverty, and to crime.

Cut the black OOW rate in half - from 72% to 36% - and most of racist-related problems will disappear in a generstion.

A solution to Systemic Racism is unnecessary since it no longer exists in America. The only solution to individual racism is time. In the 50s the majority of White Americans had racist views towards Blacks. Now 70 years later, the majority of White Americans do not have racist views towards Blacks. What could reverse that trend is Black Lives Matter and the New Wokeism that is creating division intentionally.

I think it is more about tribalism and peopel liking their own kind more so than racism. Having more in common and being familiar is what most people like.
Want to see a proud man ,black, Asian, Latino or white smile with pride, tell him his kid looks just like him or grandpa. Same for a woman.

One I loved so much mama had to fire her because I cried when she left, she was black as were her kids she sometimes brought with her and husband who worked at Lays and part timer as handy man for us. They had a nice home and were good people. i bet their kids didn't end up in prison or poverty.
None of us will have to worry about any of this much longer because with the help of liberal's and victims we have lost this nation. I feel bad for all our young kids who will never know what it was like to live in America.

Thanks for sharing that. It's very sad to me that there are apparently many people who need matching skin color and matching political beliefs before they can call you friend. I thought the country was headed in that direction, but everything went off the rails over the last 10 years.

I don’t think there are many people who demand same skin color to form friendships. I do think, however, it is difficult for me to be friends with someone who thinks I am either a moron, a white supremacist, and/or a threat to democracy simply because I voted for Trump.
