Affirmative action put blacks in a lot of positions they were not qualified for. Kirk just pointed it out. However, and I've said this before, FAA examiners don't see skin color. There are federal minimums set forth by the FAA standards for flying that must be met or else the examinee fails. I don't care if they're black, white or purple with pink polka dots. One example on a check ride for PPSEL is that you must do a full stall AND recover I believe in less than 200 feet. Either you do this, or you don't. If you do, you pass that section. If you don't, you fail. Skin color doesn't matter.
