I was comparing gross income to what's left for tangible products and services after you pay all Federal, State, and Local taxes, also taking into effect all of the visible and hidden taxes built into product and service costs charged to the consumer. I had to pay AMT for most of my earning years. Many of those years I had to pay both sides of SS taxes for any income I took. My estimate is a gross underestimate, the total is probably closer to 75%.

The people with the biggest amount of assets, like Gates live mostly off capital gains, capital gains taxes are a tax on investment profit which is a detractor to investments, dumb ass. Most people in this country are paying ZERO TAXES on their personal income. ZERO TAXES IS NOT PROGRESSIVE, dumb ass. Zero tax rate is a gross offense to the people paying zero.
