It’s not about hate — it’s about resources. If there’s only enough food for my children, guess who eats. I can’t help it; that’s just human nature. I don’t want a country where people are pushed into that kind of situation, but that’s what would happen if it ever came down to scarcity.
No country, including ours, has unlimited resources. We’ve been misled — or maybe just spoiled — by the gifts of this country and by science, which have allowed us to maximize prosperity. But neither of those things is guaranteed. We need to think about the future and avoid overrunning our country with more people than our resources can support.
