Why do poor communities exist in America?

"The other night a homeless man was going through my garbage. Now I hate to see a human being going through someone’s garbage, so I made him a real nice racoon costume.

You know what? He won't even wear it.

You just can't help some people"

The homeless may tend to eschew other peoples' socialism on a non-national basis.

This could be better enforced with the majestic equality of equal protection of the law:

“The law, in its majestic equality, forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal their bread.”

― Anatole France

No, you simply cannot force someone to accept treatment. You can jail them for breaking the laws against sleeping under bridges. But you cannot force them into treatment for mental health or substance abuse issues.

How hypocritical. Corporate welfare has even paid multimillion dollar bonuses to the already Rich, yet you have only "hate on the Poor" who are actually in poverty?

Again, that is a different topic. Stop trying to divert your weak argument into a rant on your hatred of the rich.

Why would they not want to with an income? I can understand why they may not want to with no income and someone merely telling them what is best for them.

If they will not enter a treatment program that is free, why do you think they would enter if they got a welfare check?

lol. It is not My hatred of the Rich. A (holy) Bible tells me what morality is with the Rich and the Poor. Only right-wingers practice the abomination of hypocrisy while alleging morals in other threads.

Another meaningless post about nothing.

Stick with the topic at hand. If you want to discuss corporate welfare start another thread.

Not sure. It may have to do with the requirements of socialism on an Institutional basis. Persons on unemployment would have most likely enrolled in UC when exiting the workforce for whatever reason and potentially still have a decent credit score.

Because there are certai people that beleve they are wed a living and feel they do not have to work for a living
Nothing to do with the point unless you prefer to, hate on the Poor. Corporate welfare has even paid multimillion dollar bonuses with no fake moral outrage from the right-wing.

Equal protection of the laws is a Constitutionally guaranteed Entitlement under our Constitutional form of Government.

I doubt their Credit Score effects what a homeless drunk or crack addict thinks about. Many of them had jobs before their addictions took them to the dark places.

The mentally ill are certainly not worried about a credit score.

Actually, it does have to do with the point. The more people that try to live off the backs of those who work, the less each one gets and the more those who work resent it.

You, being a healthy and capable young man, need to work for your money. Where is your pride? Where is your dignity? You want to be a leech for the rest of your life? Or have you never known the satisfaction of a job well done?

The point is, they were more productive before they became homeless. Recourse to an income would have potentially help them keep those ethics.

Only if you ignore economics. A multiplier effect means a rising tide lifts all boats. And, you merely engage in special pleading in any at-will employment State. No one is making you work in an at-will employment State; thus, no one is trying to live off the back of anyone else but considering their own economic situation.

Sure they were. They were more productive because they worked. So we should get them into rehab or a mental health facility, get them back on n even keel and get them back to work. Not only will they have an income, but they will have the satisfaction of being a contributing part of society.

No. I am not ignoring economics by saying that the more people we have living off other people's taxes, without working and contributing, the worse our society as a whole will do.

And yes, there are people trying to live off the back of everyone else. In point of fact, you are trying to live off the back of everyone else.

Why is it you think you deserve an income for doing nothing?

Why is that not working now? And, you keep missing the point in between. How did they "lose perspective" and become homeless if not for a lack of income?

Yes, you are ignoring economics. Why do you believe you are not? Under true Capitalism, only fools and horses have to work. No one is "living off other peoples' income". You are being disingenuous since there is no Right to Work, even in alleged Right to Work States. And, you have no room to talk; you claimed to not have an income so how can anyone, live off your income? All you demonstrate is a lack of ethics and morals not any understanding of economics.

If you stopped appealing to Ignorance of economics, you would know that a multiplier effect means our economy would still benefit even if not all people actually provide labor input to the economy. And, why do You care if you have no Income to be taxed and You don't work since you are retired? All you prove is that you are a false Christian regarding the Poor.
