Why Racists Love Crime Stats But Hate Exoneration Rates

First of all, you are talking about MICROSCOPIC numbers. Total exonerations since 1989 LESS THAN 2,000????????? Out of hundreds of thousands of convictions? It is not even a "rounding error." Even if the claim is true, it doesn't change the fact of dramatically disproportionate criminality in the Black community.

Why even argue about it? It's a fact. Deal with it.

Second, many "exonerations" are not actually exonerations. Convictions are almost never overturned because of proof of innocence. In fact, you CANNOT APPEAL a guilty verdict by disputing or refuting the evidence. It is almost always some irregularity at trial, and the bastard was factually guilty, but released because the prosecutor fucked up.

The police do not have time or the interest to arrest and prosecute innocent people. There are way too many Bad Guys out there to waste their time with the Innocent. Invariably, when someone is exonerated for a specific crime, they have committed others of a similar nature, but in this particular instance they didn't do it.
