I know. We've been here before with this. Long ago I remember hearing that there were incidents like this after the American Civil War. Heard there were incidents with Men, Black Men who had served their nation well - with honor, in the nations Armed Forces declaring their constitutional and human rights. I heard...

The NRA Supported Gun Control When the Black Panthers Had the Weapons

Back in the 1960s, even the NRA supported gun control to disarm the group.

James Baldwin said that when the Israelis pick up guns, when the Poles do, when the Irish do, when any white man in the world says give me liberty or give me death, the entire white world applauds. He said when a Black man says exactly the same thing, word for word, he is judged a criminal and treated like one, and everything possible is done to make an example of him so there will not be any more like him.

Because this transcends mere arguments over race (that tired, old human construct, from centuries ago).

James Balwdin, he knew. "He knew the Christian church in America was a white church and a Black church, with the most segregated hour in American life happening on Sunday at noon. He knew he was not in the labor unions, and that the Real Estate Lobby was keeping him in the ghetto.".

We all know the ethics involved here. Ethics. One of those highfalutin ideals ("give me liberty or...") people put in their back pockets when in times of strife, only to take them back out later in order to argue from some faux, fleeting held principles.

The experiences of Black Men (add - black women and black children) in America is a Mirror held up to history.

I have absolutely no problem with any ethnic group being armed for self defense.
