Zone1 Why didn’t God kill the first born of Germany?

Israel figures into end time prophecy. Just another proof the Bible can be trusted. Wakey Wakey

My theory is that the Bible is a bunch of stories made up by man where God does not always act consistently
Is there a lesson being presented in each story? If so, what were the lessons our ancestors wished to pass on to their descendants?

Ignorance is in bloom today as well. What did the people in Biblical times recognize as the greatest sin occurring in Sodom and Gomorrah?
Do you mean people, or the one person that made that horror story up?

Some were good lessons to follow, others were not.

The Jews are God’s chosen people

So its no surprise to me that they excel in so many fields

I was listening to someone comment on Euro jealously toward Jews leading up to WWII

He pointed out that for centuries Jews were not allowed to own land, which was the primary source of wealth before the Industrial Revolution

That forced Jews to become expert in fields involving money transactions

And that gave them an advantage over the Christians in the new economy

I dont think that was dumb luck but rather part of God’s plan
Its crazy always watching christians defend jews when they hate you, they look at you as inferior, they take advantage of you, and they are the leaders in degeneracy that christians say destroy western civilization.

In the time of Moses, the Egyptian Pharaohs kept the Jews in slavery.
God sent Moses to demand their release. When the Pharaoh refused, God sent ten plagues onto Egypt including locusts, flies, a river running red, boils, darkness and finally killing the first born of Egypt.

But when Hitler killed six million Jews and enslaved the rest, God did nothing.

Why was that?
Because it couldn't be possible that the Israelites believed God was on their side so they crafted narratives of historical events to teach lessons about the covenant, obedience, justice and Israel's special relationship to God?

Have you tried googling it?

I look upon it as the difference between life under the Old Covenant Law in the time of Moses and the New Covenant Law that arrived with Jesus. In the time of Moses, God's intervention such as 10 plagues of Egypt, were Earthly matters. With Jesus, God's intervention came through faith.

Perhaps an understanding could be gained by learning of the conversion of Saul to Paul and what became of his life. Saul a prosecutor of those following Jesus, became a follower himself while on the road to Damascus. As Paul he suffered mightily but Earthly matters were inconsequential compared to the spiritual. He chose to live a life full of imprisonment, torture, and eventually execution for his new faith.

Its true that many Jews are not nice people

That has been obvious since Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and some of them turned to making graven images of false gods

Why God cares so much for the Jews is a mystery to me

But if they are good enough for God then they are good enough for me too

Jews have a special place in history that I will never question

Is it crazier than you showing your disrespect for people of faith?

Holy shit cow mackerel!

Hmmm ..... :eusa_think:
Why was that?
Good question. :eusa_clap:
Why don't you ask him?
I am assuming rightwinger is a Christian so he's not allowed to access God directly. He must go through Jesus. Does that answer your question?

Fair enough.

There are several posts about people attacking atheists in this thread. When you question them, I will answer this.

You are assuming wrong.
