What do we know about the member of the public reference "control group"? We know nothing. We don't even know the source of the information. That's a HUGE problem for a study that wants to compare the efficacy of a drug. So yeah, the public reference group could have been people who were FAR more likely to have severe effects from COVID. We just don't know. And unless we know, no conclusions can be made.

The reverse correlations of Lupus patients who were taking HCL showed a huge reduction in cytokine storm symptoms.
This is well known and proven fact.
But Lupus patients are the people with the compromised immune system who are most likely to die from covid-19, and not just random people who are all likely to be asymptomatic anyway.
