I'm only two and a half minutes into this video but what's been stated already seems like the most plausible explanation for why Epstein was able to operate in the open as freely as he was, with no to little consequences until he was held in custody. I found this particularly interesting because just before coming across this video I saw on in which one of Epstein's victim who sought to keep her identity hidden by going as Jane Doe in her communications with the FBI. discovered that her Jane Doe identity had been uncovered and connected to her real life identity which then appeared at least 500 times in the Epstein files published by the FBI. Another one of the victims indicated that she saw that her nickname had been redacted but her real name had been left unredacted in the same document which lead her to believe this was done intentionally.
