Now you are just making shit up.
Numerous ministers/priest have been jailed for child fucking.
You are of course referring to the Catholic church.
That is different. Because in all of those cases the church got the victims and their parents to not turn the priest in. So law enforcement was not aware of it. There were rumors abound, but no proof until the famous spotlight expose that uncovered years of abuse by numerous priest and - you bet - the church protected.
But you can't go after molesters where the victim won't cooperate.
For this, you need to hold the Catholic church, in it's entirety, responsible for it. Beginning with denouncing it, admitting it and dissolve a practice that leads to it.

Taxes are based upon PROFIT........religious organizations are listed as "non-profit". If you profit nothing there is nothing to tax. There are many laws and regulations that can be applied to investigate those who would hide behind a non profit status.

You see it in the news all the time as some fake organization or individual become subject to these enforcement regulations. It not only churches that take advantage of the system. Look at the fraud and power that came to Bill And Hillary Clinton with their supposed NON PROFIT charities claimed through the non-profit CLINTON FOUNDATION.......billions of dollars have been laundered through this organization any many other fraudulent groups where the wealthy elite hide their true wealth.

There is a long historical list involving those who attempted to take advantage of their religious TAX EXEMPTION and paid the price for fraud.

Personally I would favor a flat 10% sales tax on everything.......making everyone TAX EXEMPT while taxing only the money being spent. Everyone would have to pay their fair share, workers, employers, drug dealers, criminals, churches.......anyone that would purchase any goods or service. The income from such a tax would do away with the majority of the tax fraud and special interest groups and most of all keep POLITICS, TAXES, and RELIGION out of our back pockets.

If 10% is good enough for God......its good enough for UNCLE SHAM. The so called "progressive" tax system is anything but fair or progressive....it punishes the hard workers and earners while rewarding the do nothings by sharing in the earned income of those who pay the vast majority of the taxes. Earnings should not be taxed.........its a spending tax that would produce the biggest bang for buck.....and be FAIR to all. Everyone must SPEND, as money that is not moving is worthless.
