folks like Hitler had to invent external enemies such as Poland in order to unite the nation in its support for his crap.
he wasn't smart enough to go with 2 party system.
with 2 party system one party is always the enemy of the other. therefore people of each party are always blindly obedient to the party leadership ( whether it is Bill Maher or Rush Limbaugh ).
furthermore one party is always in power. so the leadership of one of the parties is always in power and gets to pursue any psychotic policies they wish because they will never face criticism from their own folks ( all must unite to resist the common enemy - the other party ).
of course the two parties are really one. looking back at the overall trend over the last couple decades you wouldn't know which year the dems were in power and which the republicans.
what the system achieves is that at any given point in time the people are marginalized and blindly obedient. the same way as they were under Hitler. only the fake external enemies such as Poland have been replaced by equally fake enemies in the other party.

best of all there is nothing you can do about it. because if you were to accept the truth then you would have to start thinking FOR YOURSELF. but how do you know if you are capable of it ? when was the last time you have tried it ? when was the last time you believed anything other than what your spiritual ( i mean political ) leaders told you to believe in ?
