Looks like the people of Iowa didn't fall for all the efforts to assassinate the character of Sen. Sanders, and the effort of many of those above to comport his idea of democratic socialism into the totalitarianism which exists in N. Korea, Russia and China.
Fear mongering is the game of those who cannot or will not consider how and why so many Iowans supported Sen. Sanders.
The greater threat to our nation and its people is not the rising debt, that is a canard; it is the attack on ideas and the failure to define problems and allow civil debate to consider the universe of potential solutions.
You've seen no debate or discussion and don't give a shit how deep we bury ourselves in debt. You're another one detached from reality.
We don't bury ourselves in debt. It is The Congress which should be responsible and isn't, Being responsible does not mean being conservative, it means establishing priorities and leading by example.
The reality challenged are those who think cutting the budget and cutting taxes will create fiscal sanity, they won't. And, never do they think about cost benefits and cost deficits associated with across the board cuts (which never include cuts to the salary and benefits of members of Congress); some actually believe a balanced budget amendment is the panacea for fiscal policy. It isn't.
A budget is simply a plan, one which needs to be modified and supplemented when unforeseen events intrude.
Our current debt is manageable, we have never defaulted and there is no balloon payment due. Thus the hysteria of the debt is simply a canard, and something the hysterical fear mongers use as a wedge issue and point fingers at Democrats when the problem is systemic.
How can it be fixed?
Amend COTUS and give POTUS the Line-Item Veto
