When Democrats found out that Trump thought Fauci was a 3/4 incompetent asshole, they immediately put him on a pedestal. They praised him to the point of worship even though he was a total phony. So now it's going to be hard to ease him out without admitting he was an asshole from the beginning. Hey, the gig is up. He fooled them for thirty plus years so that isn't bad.
