White House inadvertently texted top-secret Yemen war plans to journalist

And this was a nothing burger of a story. No consequences occurred because of the "leak" and no actual "plans" were even discussed.

No, I was just showing that screw-ups happen in both Republican and democrat administrations. Nothing serious happened from Austin's screw-up, but it caused the fur to fly. Just as for this Signal mess.

The much bigger mistake was when 13 Americans died in AFG because someone in the Biden admin did not let a sniper shoot the suicide bomber before he blew up. We still don't know who made that call.

Bill, I watched all of it happen, live on TV when the world was in lockdown. I watched the entire press conference where he said there were "good people on both sides", and I watched Trump walk across Lafayette Park and hold that Bible upside down for a photo op.

Trump's entire Presidency is on TV, and you're watching the wrong edit of the show.

Here's the difference. Lloyd Austin didn't spill classified battle plans on a very hackable public chat app - hours before the battle was about to take place. Hegseth and the others endangered the lives of every service member involved in that operation.

If the reporter had not been deeply concerned with state security, he could have easily published his story - with details of the planned attack, before it happened. If all he cared about was a "scoop", it could have easily happened.

This was no accident. That information had to be taken from a classified system, on a government device, and purposely downloaded on the Signal app.

This was a willfull criminal action. The statute of limitations won't be up in 2028.
