Zone1 Where does atheist morality come from?

Congratulations on your militant atheism and being a dupe of socialism and communism.

“Within the philosophical system of Marx and Lenin, and at the heart of their psychology, hatred of God is the principal driving force, more fundamental than all their political and economic pretensions. Militant atheism is not merely incidental or marginal to Communist policy; it is not a side effect, but the central pivot. To achieve its diabolical ends, Communism needs to control a population devoid of religious and national feeling, and this entails the destruction of faith and nationhood. Communists proclaim both of these objectives openly, and just as openly go about carrying them out.”

You don't hate something you have been given no evidence for.

The Catholic Church states the things that get people into hell with nonbelief being one of them. Why do you ignore the truth Meriweather? I just don't get it.
It's not as cut and dry as you want to believe. Examples of these are state in the Catechism as well.

Plus...."Help my unbelief...." Keep in mind, there is a difference between non-belief and rejection.

Paul noted (in Romans, if I recall) that people who had no belief would be judged by what was in their own hearts. But, in your case, there may be a caveat. You once believed. Now you don't. Revelation is pretty strict about that. I'm guessing that makes you extremely happy that you can now grouse about God being an ol' meanie.

It's not that hard to enter into the kingdom of God. Be kind and loving. As Rabbi Hillel said, "Scripture is about love God, love your neighbor...everything else is commentary." Forget about what you think God did or didn't do. Forget about what you think the Church did or didn't do. Look inwardly. You don't believe in God, SO WHAT!!? Love your fellow man and forget the commentary. It's the best you can do.

LOL. I was taught by nus and was an altar boy, etc. and I know nothing about prayer. You know something? I listen to various people who have converted. Some of those are former pastors and priests who have successful YouTube channels and others are people who were devout and preached it to anyone who would listen. They also were told by many people that they didn't know prayer or Christianity. For your further education, you should look up the "No true Scotsman" fallacy, confirmation bias, Identity Protection Cognition, and Spiritual Bypassing.
Correct. You only think you know about prayer. You have conceptualized prayer instead of manifested it. You have made the same mistake with God. You have no reasonable perception of God that shows God in a positive light. Every single one of your perceptions of God places God in the worst possible light. To you, everything is fairytale. So you make no effort at understanding anything which you have already made up your mind about; God, religion, faith, outcomes, scripture, etc. You see it all in the worst possible light.

WTF does George have to do with me?

Oh, wait! You are using someone "in authority" and because he was I must believe him, just like you believe priests.
It has to do with my belief that you think of yourself as patriotic. I thought it might be important for you to know what George Washington said about people who would subvert religion.

I accept knowledge on the authority of others when what they say makes sense. I don't blindly accept anything, even my faith. More than 90% of everything anyone knows was accepted on the authority of someone else. Anyone who would scoff at accepting knowledge from others would be more apt to blindly accept it when they do. Almost everything you believe about God, religion and faith is wrong. I'm guessing you blindly accepted it without out ever testing whether it was true. Probably due to your poor opinion of religion, God and faith.

Uh huh. This is another way for believers to avoid facing truth.
I don't believe you know what truth is. I believe the only truth you know is your subjective truth. I doubt you have ever explored both sides of anything.

I am the most staunch conservative around and the notions Karl Marx had about economics and politicos were wrong. But I agree with his quote you used. Give me your evidence of why you say he's wrong.

Oh, WAIT! You don't do evidence.
For a staunch conservative you sure are working hard for the socialists.

That's funny that you don't think I do evidence. I already painted you into one corner on evidence. Do you really want to go for two? Do you need reminding?

You don't hate something you have been given no evidence for.
The evidence is literally around you. I can't help it if you can't see it. Especially since the best evidence you have comes from yourself. You are seeing what you want to see.

Yet you continue to use authority figures.

So you have no evidence. Color me surprised.

What am I supposed to see? That your god is the universe?

Do I really need to repeat what I just wrote? I guess so.

Tons of evidence. Pretty much every post you make is an attempt to subordinate God, faith and religion. Just like socialists and communists have always done. It's really too bad you couldn't have personally experienced life under the militant atheists regimes of the 20th century.

What am I supposed to see? That your god is the universe?
That would be a shock to me as I don't believe the painter is the painting. But I couldn't be happier for you to keep seeing what you are seeing. You are a great setup man for me.

This is the thing with Catholics in particular. They are given the horrid beliefs of the Catholic Church which included slavery, God thinks homosexuals are an abomination, no marriage outside the church, women are inferior, and that a nonbelief gets you into hell a Catholic quotes Paul who made an uncorroborated claim of a vision of Jesus as their "out".

Where is your evidence of this vision or that Paul was even an apostle or that he wasn't creating a new religion that made him a hero?

You are amazing in your thought process. Not in a good way because I would worry that you would pray to Jesus for your calculations to be correct instead of relying on your previous studies. Why don't you just admit that your Bible God is a monster and be done with the parrying?

You are proving my point that you ALWAYS see God in the worst possible light and you still don't understand the purpose or power of prayer.
