It's oversimplificating. Actual life is much more sophisticated.
Anyway. There are a lot of people who want Trump f#cked up. And what could be better for it than escalation in Europe and wars in Latin America?
May be. May be not, if American people are disappointed in Trump and the whole MAGA movement. And they will be very disappointed in the case of, say, nuclear burst in Chicago, as in "The House of Dynamite" movie.
As if Venezuela's Army is controlled by Venezuela's Generals. There are Russian and Chinese advisors for it.
Anyway, this summer I have been to a Latin America and trained some guys. Those guys were, surprisingly, very smart and well educated.

The oil business has always been complex. We have a new TV series called "Landman". Its one of my favorite shows. Its about a small company in Texas not a huge international, but I'm sure the big ones like Chevron, BP, ExxonMobil, Shell and the new ones from China are all vying for new oil fields to replace older fields.
True. They even tried to shoot him twice, but he's still doing a great job. Any "wars" in Latin America will be quick coups like the CIA is good at, especially after Maduro's money dries up and the troops rebel.
US politics ebbs and flows, unlike Russia's dictatorship. In 2026 democrats might take the House, which will be inconvenient, but not decisive. Trump still has 3-years in the Whitehouse, which is decisive. We have multi-layered ABM systems that could prevent a nuclear strike.

Ok, but would they prefer to die for Maduro (or "advisors") or live in a democracy, that is their choice.
Smart guys don't care who signs their checks, as long as they keep getting paid.
It is not their actual choice. Actual choice is to be robbed and slaughtered by Americans or use help from Russia and China.
The difference is that Russia take 30% of their oil and America wants to take 100% and not to pay them at all.

I'm not seeing any type of "help" that could keep Maduro in power.
Maduro takes 100% of the oil.
After Maduro is gone the new government can negotiate with the big oil companies for the best deal.

Of course no. Maduro is still in power because he is not that greedy. More than 30% of Venezuela's oil belongs to Russian companies.

After Maduro is gone the oil resources will probably be renegotiated with the new government.
Trump has a blockade on, no oil leaving Venezuela.
But, looks like I'm better informed.
If Maduro is gone. And if Venezuela's people (say nothing about Russian and Chinese advisors) accept him or her. (And given the greed of Americans they'll hardly suggest better terms than Russians)
So what? You need to keep blockade for a long time to have any results. And all this time your fleet is playing sitting ducks observed from Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua. You'll hardly achieve any result without boots on the ground. And even with boots on the ground nothing is guaranteed (while you definitely have some advantages in Western Hemisphere).
All of your lawless democrats helped craft the bill.

You realize that both sides have had Intel briefings on this, other than a few bedwetters who were shocked after the briefing and viewing the video, there's been no noise since then
