Classified briefing Thursday.

A US navy admiral will provide a classified briefing to lawmakers overseeing the military on Thursday as they investigate a US attack on a boat in the Caribbean Sea allegedly carrying drugs that included a second strike that killed any survivors.

Yo'

Hegseth Ordered a Lethal Attack but Not the Killing of Survivors, Officials Say.

Amid talk of war crimes, the details and precise sequence of a Sept. 2 attack on a boat in the Caribbean are facing intensifying scrutiny.

I do wonder about the definition, "War Crime". A crime committed during war that disregards the "rules" of war most certainly. What about an act of war before or after the declaration of war? If memory serves me Japan didn't declare war until after the attack on Pearl Harbour. So, where does that leave us? A few years ago I met an American who wrote, "The US has never lost a war in its entire history." I mentioned Vietnam but the response was, "The US never declared war on Vietnam, therefore .....". I loathe that way of speaking but I cannot pinpoint the part that upsets me most. 😐

The thing about war crimes they are illegal, so every Soldier in a combat situation if ordered by a superior to carry out such an act is obliged to disobey that order, but how many do?

Bradley Manning had a go.
Speaking of war crimes this scandal has just blown up again in the UK, a whistle blower alleges British Special Forces carried out war crimes including the murder of civilians and children in their beds, all the Nato Countries did this in Afghanistan, the Special Air Service have a very proud history in WW2, these scumbags in Afghanistan are a disgrace to the Uniform they wear.
