I know there's ectopic. The number of abortions performed because of the danger to the mother is so few, that they do not register statistically.

When we had kids, I know that the thickness of skin was measured on the back of the next from the scan, I think that was for Downs Syndrome. There might have been another test for the health of the foetus, but because it was some 25 years ago, I can't remember. But either way, it was to check that if there were abnormalities, abortion was an option.

An ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion. The fertilized ovum implants somewhere dangerous and is not viable. There will be no baby; but that pregnancy might kill the mother. The best example is an ovum that implants in the fallopian tube. The ovum will fail, there's not even a placenta. But the mother may die.

The other examples you talk about are basically murdering disabled babies. Call it what it is.
