That is my opinion and the opinion I had with Trump going there. Think about it: Trump, the Sec. of State and War, and ten of the richest men in the world went to Beijing to a thugocracy where they steal people off the street and steal their organs because someone in government actually needs them more. I've heard tell of chinese autocrats bragging they might live 150 years by just throwing out an organ when they need one and taking a fresh, new one from someone else.
All of that guarded by a what? A few dozen of our SS guards as their building is surrounded by thousands of chinese soldiers armed with rifles? Just think what an advantage they might have had if they just shot and killed or took hostage the heads of the US government and the ten richest and most important business men in the world? IMO opinion, Trump is lucky to get out of there alive, the Chinese strained to perform on their very best behavior so much they want Taiwan they can taste it that they thought they'd try coercion and insults on Trump first.
It was all the chinese could do to simply block Trump's personal secret service and obstruct our own media from covering events. For instance, the blocked NTD News (one of my favorite news services) and the Epoch Times from access to events because--- Voila!--- both have covered stories on chinese human rights violations. Can't have people who give anything less than 100% favorable coverage of China to have free access to these events! It strains them enough to have free access for anybody.

It was bad enough permitting Trump's own personal secret service security access to protect the President by taking guns inside. In other words, the kind and gentle Chinese refused to allow our secret service from guarding our president with guns because the Chinese did not trust us with guns in the same rooms with Xi Jinping.
It literally came down to physical scuffles between the chinese and our secret service. Have you ever heard of such a thing by a visiting dignitary invited with the highest honors?
Had the Chinese chosen to knock off our heads of government or taken these businessmen hostage, just who and how might anyone have stopped them? Which is why I thought the whole trip a huge risk and that they should have met somewhere neutral. With the chinese, while they are smiling at you shaking your hand, they hold a knife behind their backs.

The Chinese are a militant thugocracy run by communists with no regard for treaties nor human life. IMO, Trump, Musk, Hegseth, Rubio, Tim Cook and the rest are lucky to get out of China alive. China might have taken them all hostage and held them for ransom for anything--- to give them Taiwan, to leave Iran immediately, anything. Whatever they negotiated in Beijing, we will be lucky if China actually ever falls through with 50% of what they agreed to. The Chinese destroyed Tibet and killed their government and thousands others there just to gain access to a gorge to build a hydro power plant when they could have simply ASKED for the land or worked out an agreement based on mutual cooperation. Now they are threatening Bangladesh, India with stealing vital water supplies as they threaten Taiwan and the whole South China Sea, the Philippines, Japan and the entire shipping lane.
Any leader who tells you that you're washed up and yesterday's news and that they are coming for you, is not interested in being your "friend." If we had any brains at all, we would build up our offense and defenses massively right now and go in and smash the Chinese military.
