I used to be firmly pro abortion but after seeing close friends have them over the years and you know every single one of them regrets it still to this day, I’ve changed my mind a lot. It’s usually some guy making them get one. So like my politics have swung to the right, so has the abortion issue.. I'm not for banning abortions though.

If there is a heart beat it’s alive. If that is 6 weeks then maybe 6 or 9 weeks is the cut off point. Take the plan B pill the next day if you have unprotected sex and didn't have a condom.

So if it wasn't illegal to murder anybody that you didn't like would you still feel that it's okay as that's basically what abortion is.

From the moment after conception, a fetus is a growing and developing entity that is comprised of human tissue with it's own distinct DNA. Since it is growing and developing, it is alive by definition.

Also if the child is going to be severely deformed, yes, i think abortion is best if the mother wants to.

I've been saying when they get a heartbeat for years but this guy makes a valid point. Plants are alive and they don't have heartbeats. They're alive because they're growing. So I guess a fetus can be alive in that sense.

Scientifically? At conception.

But the abortion “debate” tends to focus instead on when that life is a “person.”

Why? Because that’s an argument the pro abortion “rights” side believes it can prevail upon.

The whole entire problem with the "my body my choice" argument is that it's the baby's body not the mother's that's being talked about.

I'm Catholic and most of us believe that life starts at the moment of conception.

I'd bet that you'll get a different answer, depending on who you're talking to. Some pro-abort would tell you life starts at birth, until they decided they want to have a child.

For now, I'll stick with the moment of conception, and as someone who has worked for a doctor who performed abortions, the guilt I carry around due to my participation of flushing something obviously human down the lab sink, I only pray that God has forgiven me.

As someone who has converted to Catholicism only a year ago, I know that technically God has forgiven me that sin, but the guilt still lingers.
