I read the official Columbus Day proclamation on the website. I couldn't help but noticing that the third paragraph was shameless pandering and guilt-tripping, so I will add this:

And make sure the spaghetti is kosher.

You know that there is no statues, paintings or engravened images of Columbus and for him to be so famous. And Judaism, they are not to make any engravened images of anything and even including themselves.

I will be working 6am to 4pm. My union local traded Columbus Day for Patriots Day on our holiday schedule about 30 years ago.
