What You Saw Tonight Was the Trump Effect

Republicans felt the wrath tonight of voters rejecting Trump's agenda. The biggest issue for voters was the economy, with half listing it as their number one focus. Almost a year into his second term Trump has failed to deliver on the economy as food and energy prices continue to rise and 60% of voters disapprove of his handling. Republicans have lost their gains with Latino voters. In New Jersey, 64% went for Sherrill citing the economy and his handling of immigration has their largest concerns. Trump almost won New Jersey in last year's election largely due to the swing of Latino voters to the GOP. Gen Z voters also did a 180 and overwhelmingly backed the Democratic candidates after backing Trump last year. Overall, only 37% of voters approve of the job he is doing.

These numbers are abysmal and it's the only way a man like Jay Jones can get elected to the top law enforcement office in the state, despite his sociopathic comments about his opponents' children being publicly leaked. It's not just "blue state" statewide offices either. Down ballot, Republicans have lost 11 seats in the Virginia House Delegates, taking the Democrats' 51-49 majority to 62-38. In Georgia, Democrats defeated Republican incumbents in statewide races for Public Service Commissioner. In Pennsylvania, they are sweeping judicial races across the board.

MAGA appears to be repeating the same errors of the 2018 midterm election cycle, denying that Trump is an albatross around their necks by not delivering what the people want. They went on to lose 41 House seats that year.

LOL

Blue states and a Blue city stayed Blue.

Trump ran three times, he never won NJ or VA, 0-6.

All the Senators from NY, NJ, and VA are Democrat.

What was your point again?

We buy whole bean coffee at Sprout's as we like to have ours freshly ground in the morning. A few months ago it was $12.99 for a one pound bag. When I went last week to get a new bag it was $18.99. This is what people are seeing and MAGA keeps thinking the anemic reduction in gas is an achievement.
That's one product. Other products are way down. Your TDS is causing severe tunnel vision. Sad.

All the coffee pickers done left Colombia and came to America.

Now we have to wait for Trump to send them back, then the price will go down again. :p

Obama wins, the Dems think they have all the answers, piss people off, Trump happens. Trump wins, the GQP think they have all the answers, piss people off, last night happens.

Wash, rinse, repeat. The parties refuse to learn. The general public doesn't want ugly, narcissistic, binary tribalism. Neither did the Founders, for that matter.

The reason Harris lost is because Joe Biden waited too long to bow out, and the Democrats short-circuited their primary process to ram Harris through as the nominee.

Americans believe in fair play, unlike Trump and you MAGAs. Trump benefitted, once again, from the naive good nature of America.

.
I went to Costco after work. Picked up the 3 pack of Kirkland Beef Hot Dogs. They used to be $12.39. Today they were $19.98. Ground beef at Costco on Joe Biden's last day was $2.99. Today it's $5.39.

Big lie on ground beef you dirty lying hack. Obiden policy sent Diesel to $7 killing everything by 4X. Ground beef hit $10.99.

Nothing is worse now. More stable and mostly falling.

No Gas out west is not much lower. But not higher you commee ****.

Stop. Being. A. *******. Moron.

I already posted in this thread my past posts from 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 all showing Biden's gas price consistently around $2.79.

Post #103 and #104. Go look.
Yeah... but you're full of shit.

When was the last time a potus delivered what the people want? They’re very good at delivering what billionaires want, in case you haven’t noticed. Trump is just more obvious about it than most.

Um...retard?

Ground beef never hit $10.99. See link below.

However, beef prices are at a record high right now. Be sure to blame Trump unless you want to be called out as a hypocrite yet again!

As for diesel, as I showed in another post, diesel was at the price it is now when Trump was sworn in, and has not moved since.

Same with gasoline prices. They are right where Biden left them for Trump when Trump was sworn in.

Now stop lying out of your ass and try to keep up with current events, mm-kay?

These MAGA media puppeteers.

They literally go out of their way to find some oddball place where prices are way above the national average, and then flash that on the screens of the tard horde's propaganda boxes. Then the morons run with it, as intended.

Every. Single. Time.

But have they done that this year? Have they gone to Buttfuck, Nowhere and flashed the $7.99/gallon sign on TV?

Of course not. That would ruin the whole narrative.

I actually showed a place that has $7.99 gas as we speak earlier tonight.

Because cherry picking is so much fun!

.

In 2022, gas prices in King County reached their highest point in mid-June, with a statewide average for regular unleaded gas peaking around $5.55 per gallon
AI search....
I don't remember gas for me specifically being more than $5.00 a gallon because I've been working remotely since 4th of July weekend 2020. So it's not something that I monitor regularly and my assistant would keep the vehicles gassed up.

I would guess that the $5.55 was an outlier not the regular price per gallon but I can't think of why it would have been so high at THAT particular point in time since we were beginning to come out of the pandemic on October 31, 2022. According to my AI assistant that $5.55 high (he says 5.693 on June 17th 2022) was back down to $4.15 by December 2022. It also seems like the prices go up in the spring & summer and then drop back down in the winter.

What we saw tonight is dumb Democrats voting against their own self interests. Now, let's see how they like the results.

Because of corrupt Democrats.

I just paid $2.58. That's what you moonbats get for consistently voting against your own best interests. You get fucked, and not in an enjoyable way.

You guys need a Republican governor, very badly.
Uh oh, another "you need...", no thank you.

I work remotely for most of the work I do, so the price of gas is of less concern than all of the other cost of living metrics that have going up since 2019.

What a great list of choices we give ourselves. Christ.

I'm seeing a lot of endzone-spiking by the Dems right now. Not a good idea, since their only message is "we're not Trump".
Actually, Mamdani had a very long message, none of which had anything to do with Trump since NYC has nothing to do with the rest of the country.

The way Trump and the horde are reacting, you'd think NYC was the end-all, be-all of the American way of life!

I think Mamdani's socialist tendencies make MAGAs uncomfortable because they recognize themselves and Trump in him.

And they all want to **** AOC. Especially Trump.

15th post
The November 4, 2025 results in key off‑year contests reflected measurable voter dissatisfaction with Trump and his national GOP agenda, but local factors (economy, candidate quality, turnout) were also decisive.

👉 In democracy's embrace, they find their way,
With history guiding them day by day.
Cultural values keep freedom alive,
Against authoritarian shadows, they strive... :)

You can thank tariffs on Brazil and Don's support for fellow insurrectionist Bolsonaro for that.
One thing that has been nice to see (if only a small, anecdotal sample) is a few polling place interviews with former Trump voters who essentially said, "this just isn't who we are as a country", which has essentially been my point all along.

For some, this isn't about issues or policy. It's about who we are. And the way a problem is addressed can be worse than the problem it's trying to fix. MAGA is so in love and emotional that they've never understood that.

more likely the Mandella Effect, with people 'remembering' the tax for billionaires' and locking up children' endless chants on the media. If people are really concerned about the economy or impending war they are in for a big surprise. Everyone ran on the I'm not Trump platform. I'm praying for Virginia.
