I don't hate Jews at all. I am good friends with around 20 Jews - mostly Israelis serving in the IDF, partially since my SADF times.

I once talked in Fremont California a person who was there when Israel was restored as a country by officials. He was pissed that his family does not live there so he was a pilot retired from an airline in Saudi Arabia if memory of mine is still accurate and he moaned a lot. They often say, that America understands only the language of brute force. But, the problem is that sometimes America doesn't understand even the language of brute force or a threat of nuclear strike. Or, they can be more eager to accept certain level of damage, than Iranians thought, while Minimal Arsenal will provides them only the Minimal Deterrence, aka insurance against vital threats only.

That's why a "respectable US administration" would NEED to consult with NATO, Russia and China - pointing out that a military option might be necessary.

The problem is that America had nothing to bring on those hypothetical negotiations short of smokes and mirrors, of course. "We want Iranians dead and Iran destroyed because we want to indirectly hurt you, and that's why you should agree with it and don't try to stop us". Sounds too stupid even for American diplomacy. Europe could probably swallow it, but not Russia and China.
