What is Zionism, and why do some believe it’s a slur?

So, LA RAM FAN, no response? What’s going on here? Should I just consider you a troll now? You’ve been cool in the past, now you just disappear when it gets to real conversation…ok then.

Every nation has a right to self-determination. If they can acquire it.

If the Americans hadn't won theirs from Great Britain, well, that would have sucked. But that's reality.
Those European Jews NEVER constituted as a nation - but solely as a religious group or community living in other nations.
So since when does "self-determination" apply to a religious group, living all over the world in other existing nations?

Unlike the 13 colonies and it's colonialists that formed a nation, opposing British rule. Or Catholic Irish "natives of the land" opposing British protestant rule.

In theory only those Jews living in British Mandated Palestine in 1917 - around 20,000 could have as "natives to the land" claimed a right to self-determination - towards 800,000 Muslims and Christians being "natives of the land". Therefore even Christians being "natives to the land" could have claimed a right towards self-determination, but not on religious grounds.

And even the UN would NEVER have acquitted some 2.5% of a "native population" to obtain a separate/individual self-determination due to religious reasons. It's those illegal immigrants from Europe upon reaching about 40% of the total population who used violence, and terrorism to force the "natives of the land" to flee into neighboring countries.

That Egypt and the Arab League attacked this self-proclaimed State of Israel - was only due to the UN disregarding the "right to self-determination" of around 800.000 "natives to the land". Independent of their own aspiration towards the "natives land".

Zionism is a RELIGIOUS movement that is based on a NON PROVEN CLAIM in the OT - regarding some promised land by God.
And turned into a political/racial movement (via Zionists adopting the absurd NAZI claim of Jews being a race) - via claiming other Semitic natives land, who had lived and STAYED there for thousands of years.

Semites adhering to different forms of Judaism, and Semites of other religions have shared as "natives to the land" this territory for thousands of years - with at times Jews (even fighting each other) or other Semites (also fighting each other) dominating the respective ruling houses across the Levant.

There was NEVER a unified nation under Jewish rule called Israel. The Kingdom of David was nothing else but a conglomeration of Jewish allied cities, towns and villages (with Jerusalem being their main stronghold) spread across and within a territory of the Levant - inhabited by non-Jewish Semites incl. Jerusalem. And in 100-150 A.D. the Romans placed an end to the Jewish DREAM of ever becoming a unified nation within the Levant.

Zionism is a bunch of YHWH cultists making me pay for their shit.
Zionists are freeloaders.
Zionists are bums.

That’s all he does. Nazi, Nazi ,Nazi….in perpetuity…I posted what a Zionist is by definition and neither you nor him can tell me why that’s wrong.

That's because they can't refute it or give 'an answer' because they don't have one. I started a thread on this topic several months ago, all it does is attract the Jew haters like flies to shit, hating Jews is their favorite topic.

Zionism is not a monolith and encompasses several ideological branches, which include: [1, 2]
  • Political Zionism: Focused on diplomacy and securing international recognition for a Jewish state.
  • Labor Zionism: A socialist-leaning movement that emphasized building the state through agricultural settlements, communal living (kibbutzim), and physical labor.
  • Religious Zionism: Combines the Zionist movement with traditional Jewish religious devotion and attachment to the Holy Land.
  • Revisionist Zionism: Advocated for a larger Jewish state encompassing both sides of the Jordan River and emphasized military strength. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Only dumb Americans think opposing a nation committing horrendous crimes makes one an antisemite.

Thankfully these dumb Americans are old mfers and will soon die off. The world will be a better place when they’re gone.

Zionism is the belief/cause that the land defined in Ch1 Book of Joshua belongs to Israel per "will of Gawd."

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide:

2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites.

3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates (located in IRAQ hello)all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.

Israeli IDF Soldiers Greater Israel Military Patch

You see, that isn't Zionism. You start with an erroneous understanding so you end up drawing silly conclusions.

but you didn't dispute the above definition, or the fact that many IDF soldiers wear that patch, or did wear it before it became "news" and they were told to take it off.

Indeed, the card tossing on this subject is the worst ever....
No, many don't. Those that do, use it in conjunction with one with messianic messaging so it isn't a political or military statement but a religious one. The patch is not allowed by the army and the soldier who wore it was disciplined.

So, gipper and others believe that Jews don’t deserve the right to self determination…

A Zionist is a supporter of Zionism, an ideological and political movement advocating for the right of the Jewish people to self-determination and the development and protection of a Jewish nation in their ancestral homeland, which corresponds to the historic Land of Israel…

So, I am trying to understand why you think Zionism is such a slur?

I do believe Israel has the right of self determination.
And, I do believe that is in their ancestral homeland of Israel…

So, what is it you believe ?
While I agree in part.. would you give up your home to an Indian?

So, I am trying to understand why you think Zionism is such a slur?

Because, for now at least, saying "Dirty Jew" in polite society is still considered a bit rude.

But, saying, "Dirty Zionist" is perfectly acceptable.

Very shortly, they won't have to ... they will be able to say what they really mean.

This is why politics and religion(s) are poor bedfellows
