What is the Republican solution to stagnant wages in the face of increasing corporate profits?

That isn’t a viable solution if low paying jobs greatly outnumber higher paying jobs. It’s a simple mathematical certainty that millions of people have NO CHOICE but to accept low paying jobs.

How do you figure that? Right now the US is short over 60,000 drivers they can't find. Driving jobs pay in the mid 50's to six figures depending on what you're willing to do. Because Americans won't take these mid to high paying jobs, industry is looking at foreigners to take those jobs, and we're still short.

The only thing that keeps people from advancing themselves in wages are drugs. Better paying jobs often have the condition of random drug testing. Therefore people who want to continue their usage or addiction accept those low paying jobs that don't have drug screening.

That isn’t a viable solution...
It isn't intended to be a "viable solution". You're clearly not paying any attention. I'm saying it's not a problem for government to solve. It's not a problem should even have the power to solve.

The point is that they have barely budged. This is despite record high profits and being way behind on the cost living.
but you all said once fast food workers were paid 20 bucks a hour it would all be solved??

A government with the power to significantly manipulate the economy has too much power.

People going back to work after a shutdown, Moron.

Fewer Americans are employed now than under Trump pre-Covid.
Even if that were true, it wouldn’t be Biden’s fault if it’s because of the pandemic. 6.6 million jobs is 6.6 million jobs. Quit being a pussy desperately trying to minimize it.

And Bidenflation is at about 8.5%, so real wages has dropped about 3% under your Vegetable Messiah.
1) Any legitimate economist will tell you that inflation is primarily because of the pandemic and not Biden policy. This problem is all over the fucking world and your dumbass wants to make it all about Biden.

2) You claimed there was no wage growth and I proved you wrong. Now you are desperately trying to move the goal posts.

3) This wage growth was already happening before this inflation issue was happening.

4) When this inflation issue improves, those wage increases will not change at that point.

If the government does not step in, it will never improve.

Wages have remained stagnant for decades while corporate profits have only increased. This has happened with or without inflation issues.

Let’s pretend republicans had full control of congress and the presidency. What, exactly, could they do to fix this problem? We already know that regulations have a very insignificant effect on corporate profits, wages, and job growth. We also know that cutting taxes for the wealthy does not do jack shit either.

What else is there when it comes to republican solutions? It’s kind of sad and pathetic just how limited GOP economic policy is.

Profits aren't increasing.

Everywhere companies are reducing their forward guidance meaning they are LOSING revenue, not GROWING revenue.

Netflix
Amazon
Walmart
Target
Home Depot

Now even MSFT (Microsoft) has reduced forward revenue guidance.

But I'm guessing you're an abortionist woke-transgender-lib who doesn't know anything about running a business.

Right we should just be defeatist pussies and let this problem go unsolved.
You ignored the fact that there is NO PROBLEM.

You have failed to prove that there is 'higher profits'. The opposite is true. Corporate earnings are growing slower than wages.

Corporate earnings growth year over year for 2021Q4 was about 4%. Wage growth was about 5% once you remove the outlier which is industrials, which is coming out of a massive recession that saw something like negative growth of 50% in 2020.

Hey retard, profits by the end of 2021 were at an all time high. There is no reason to believe it won’t change by the end of the year.

If the government does not step in, it will never improve.

This time government stepped in and it got much worse. How did the housing bubble and burst happen? Government stepped in. If they would have left the banks run their business they way they knew how, it never would have happened. But the Democrats were insistent their lowlife voters got homes and they had to lower the standards for that to happen.

Here's something that's sure to blow your mind: saying that the government shouldn't solve a given problem doesn't actually mean you think the problem should go "unsolved". Of course, you'd have to be clear on what you think "the problem" is first - but we can solve problems without passing ill-conceived laws.

LOL what? You mean the falling earnings for the last 5 months doesn't exist?

God you're stupider than I thought. Look at the markets bozo - they aren't falling because "profits are up".
