If flat geography makes a country easy Ukraine would have been taken already. It took the Germans about 2 months to do during Barbarossa. Russia hasn't succeeded in 3 years. So again, why is that NOT relevant.

Second - don't forget about Russian rebels, controlled and not controlled by Moscow.
Third - if Putin allow NATO troops in Ukraine (for any pretext) he will be overthrown as well as Eltsin was after Serbia, or tsar Nicolay II for Russian-Japanese war and ineffective warfighting in WWI. And then, the next government will attack those "peacekeepers" (and their countries).

Sorry, I'm confused. Why does "the left" need to provide a solution to end the war? Donald Trump is President. Republicans control Congress. We know what Trump's "strategy" is...appeasement. We know from history appeasement doesn't work. You don't reward a dictator for starting a war, you put pressure on him to withdraw from a sovereign country, return all land and people taken, and pony up cash to help rebuild a country he trashed. Otherwise, if you're (Trump) going to just roll over and play dead, sit down, close your cuck mouth and let the grownups figure it out.

Except, what most of us can see, Ukraine has a much smaller population to use as a standing Army than Russia does. What we are doing, started by Biden, is simply prolonging a War that will, after a few more years, deplete the Ukraines fighting force until almost none will be available.

A war of attrition is one Ukraine is destined to lose.

So, give us the plan that does not put US soldiers on the ground.
