I believe in science (more or less), in importance of reality, in lack of supernatural things and so on...
I don't hate US and/or Israel. I do love Americans as individuals, many of them are smart, cute, hard-working and pragmatic people. I do love American culture, from ten my favourite writers at least seven are Americans I do enjoy American music and American movies. But when I actually came to the USA, or when I actually talk with local guys by Internet, I can't avoid the question: "What happened with America? What evil curse turned their shining cities in piles of garbages infected with bums and drug-addicts, and their politicians either in degenerative clowns, or in a bunch of howling human-hating bloodthirting monsters?"
Ok, I don't believe in curses, so I try to find a more or less natural cause. And one of the obvious reasons to blame, or, at least, thinking about it first (for an atheist) are religion and lack of education. Smart and pragmatic guys turned their country in a shithole because of their religion (or religions). Old story. And what about American religion? There are many of them, and most of them are more or less same as in Eurasia. But two of them are very different. First - Environmentalism (Read Roderick Nash, "Wilderness and the American Mind", and Michael Crichton "The State of Fear") Second - American "Christian Zionism" (you can start with Bart D. Ehrman, "Armageddon: What the Bible Really Says about the End").
May be, I'm wrong, and it's not a cause. May be, there are other, even more destructive things, hidden somewhere in the shadows.
Now, talking about Israel. I do love Jews, my dad was a Jew, and I often consider on my account the heritage of Zebulun tribe and all thise things both good and bad people say about Jews, but I do think that culture is more important than blood. American and Russian Jews are, first of all, American and Russian, and only then Jews. Of course, I don't like freaks to whom my Ukrainian mom was more important than my Jewish dad, or my Jewish dad was more important than my Ukrainian mom. All those clowns with their "pure blood" theories, I consider them really disgusting. Some of them are my relatives and I do know what I'm talking about. And this ideology was wrong for Germany, it's wrong in Russia and America, and it can't be right in Israel, either. What is worse for the State of Israel, from my point of view, is inability of the current regime to manage proper life on the occupied territories (may be, as a result of their religious and ideological disbeliefs) and rather sooner than later, this way leads Israel into another catastrophe. If Bibi wants to destroy Israel (or, at least, doesn't care about it) and I want to make it safer, does it mean that I hate Israel?
