I understand what you are saying. And the extras of holidays with Santa and Easter baskets and the rest. Humans cannot be asked to be in perpetual suffering of existence also. From that perhaps we should live closer to the Amish.

Passover

Well that's Jewish not Christian. Technically Christians have no required festivals or feasts of any kind. I regard Christmas and Easter as voluntary (not commanded) holidays that almost all Christians enjoy observing/celebrating.
from Paul's letter to the Colassians:
Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— (Col 2:16)

Colossians 2:16 - Alive in Christ

Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath.

What about about Zechariah 14:16 which prophesizes the observance of the Feast of Tabernacles during the end times when the Messiah returns to earth - "And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles."

I have celebrated Passover in the local Synagogogue here.
Some Jews welcome Christian guests to it, some don’t.

Passover has to do with sprinkling lamb's blood on the door post so that evil (Satan) would pass over them and keep them protected. Christ's blood IS the blood of the Lamb of God. Have you ever read the Bible or do you just come up with random opinions out of thin air?
