Yes, Easter was an old pre-christian holiday that the early church sort of took over..as they did most pagan holidays..Yule became Christmas, for example.

What do you choose?

Both are "Pagan" as Evileye's post# 9 clearly shows.

And it would not present any "Major Difficulty" to verify that Truth.

It is said, "The Truth will set You Free.", but it should go further & state that it will "Destroy Your Fabricated Reality".

Like all religious holidays, it is completely commercialized and "pagan" in the since it is not focused on any single religion or God.
Unfortunately, especially Christmas, it is all about buying stuff. Christmas is a time of stress and disappointment for many people. And that is too bad. I am proud of our family that we stopped the gift buying for everyone above 12 years old, and focus on the time together/dinner etc. Everyone should try that. It is awesome.

Thanksgiving is the last holiday left that still focuses on what it always did - family. And why it is a dying/disappearing holiday that many people dread. Sad.
