I hear you on that, and respect you for it. I myself have a problem when others try to place an interpretation on the Bible that I find contrary to my belief, however, I do have to remind myself that the Word is inspired by G-d and is indeed G-d. Therefore what we think about the Bible is just that, a thought. Unless it can be backed up with scripture, it is nothing more than a theory and everyone is free to have their theory on it.

That said, much of what I believe in the Bible has come with careful X-reffing and revelation by G-d's Ruach HaChodesh, but if someone is willing to put forth an intelligent, backed-up argument that differs with my view, I am glad to consider it.

As for Christ though, I have read, I have considered, and cannot help but come to the conclusion that He is who he claimed to be.

Please understand that what you are reading from the Torah, is what is actually being implemented by jews for thousands of years.

As I said I am a kohen (priest) because my father was a kohen. What that basically means is that I would get the first calling up and reading from the Torah on shabbos.

Levis have their duties, and Israelites have theres. However, what tribe you are from is solely based on the biological father.
