If you think about it, Democrats insist and are certain illegals don’t vote in elections. If ICE is putting any effort to be near polling places during an election, that’s fewer resources to go after illegals elsewhere. I do not know the total numbers, as that is not something the government will put out, but I do see the reports of arrests and being held for days, until their license ID would be verified. One guy was held for hours, as they would not accept his passport as proof he was born here. I kind of figure, that guy intentionally pissed them off, though. There are people that will intentionally piss off officers from beat cops on up, hoping to get a lawsuit or a scalp. Some people are just assholes, like that. But, as for the ID thing, if there are ICE officers that cannot identify a valid driver's license or Passport, they really ought to be in some other capacity or line of work, rather than on the streets.

1. Democrats intend to try to bus busloads of illegals to the polls from somewhere.
2. They just want to make this an issue to run on. Grasping at straws.
3. They fear that many of their voters are Latino minorities whom, even though they are legit citizens and voters will stay away and not vote for fear of getting snatched up by ICE anyway just for /looking/ the part.
