The reason is clearly stated in the Bible. God didn't choose the Jewish people
to make his name known in the world because of any merit of their own but just because God loved them. Simple.
As far as the Gentile world is concerned Jesus said he did not come to bring peace but a sword.
"I have not come to bring peace but a sword" Matthew 10:34
"From his mouth there went a sharp sword with which
to smite the nations." Revelation 19:15
"Take from my hand
this cup of fiery wine and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.
When they have drunk it they will vomit and go mad; such is the sword that I am sending among them." Jeremiah 25:15
"Take this cup of wine and drink it,
all of you. This is a cup of my blood,
the blood of the covenant."
"Just art thou, in these thy judgments, thou Holy One who art and wast:
for they shed the blood of thy people and of thy prophets and thou hast given them blood to drink."
The sword, that Jesus sent his disciples to spread around "the nations" of the Roman empire , is
a curse under the appearance of a cup of wine. Apparently it still works like a charm!
Jesus compared himself to the bronze serpent that Moses lifted up for the people to turn to for healing
during the time of testing in the wilderness. John 3:14. Jesus repeatedly warned of a test
So you should ask yourself, What would Hezekiah do?
