The Bible should be cancelled.
LOL. Not even if the earth and heaven disappear, Christ's words will never disappear...
Those words were written by other men. Jesus didn’t have a secretary.
Given your intellectual prowess on religion, I'm actually surprised you didn't think he did.
You’re just jealous because you feel compelled to worship an invisible magician like the intellectual midget that you are.
Compelled? No. Blessed. My cup runneth over with an abundance of riches.
You may be successful (isn't everyone on the internet?), but you still believe in an invisible magician who poofed everything into being from nothing and will punish me if I don't follow a book.
Success is measured in different ways. While I have been financially successful that wasn't really what I was talking about. But it's not that hard to tell the contenders from the pretenders.

Again.... your premises are false so your conclusions are false. You have never attempted to give this any serious thought so your posts show you have never given this any real thought. But that is your mistake to make and your consequences to suffer. Faith is not about dying. Faith is about living. You think you are alive but your behaviors only reveal misery, suffering and failure which is why you lash out.
So believing in an invisible magician who poofed everything into being from nothing and will punish me if I don't follow a book, will fix this?
Again... I wouldn't believe in God either based upon your perception of God. You have never put any effort into it and it shows.
What's wrong in what I said because in a nutshell, that's it.
Everything. You didn't one thing correct because you aren't trying to, Taz. It's obvious.
It's how it reads. I see what I see. I can't make shit up like you do.
And yet you said God kicked Adam and Eve out of the Garden for having hetero sex. Which by the way, He created their "parts" for just that thing, coded it into their DNA and told them to use them and multiply.
You have a comprehension problem... :uhoh3:
God kicked out Adam and Eve out of Eden for having (hetero) sex. It’s right there in the bible. Own it.
No, He did not. That is nowhere in the Bible.
You have a comprehension problem...
Ok, for disobeying god (for eating the hetero apple and doing it), same thing.
The original sin is not disobeying God, dummy, it not taking accountability.
I'm sure that Adam would have boasted to anyone alive that he just plugged Eve. What are you talking about?
I am talking about the point of the story. The point of the story that you continue to read literally is not that man disobeyed God, it is that mad failed to take accountability when he disobeyed God. Failing to take accountability is the root cause of all of man's problems.
You must get a sore back moving the goalposts so much and so often. Maybe you should start your own Christian sect.
That's pretty funny coming from someone who intentionally reads the Bible a certain way to not make any sense.

I haven't moved the goal posts. I've always said he exact same thing. You are the one being dishonest by reading the Bible in a way you know doesn't make any sense.
No, I'm reading a book that itself doesn't make sense. If it can't convey a proper message then that's not my fault. Having to have every line taught the meaning of to me is ludicrous. I might as well be a Mormon. Is that what your are? Got your dirty magic underwear on?
It's your responsibility to not intentionally read it in a way that you know won't make sense.
I'm reading it the way it was written. That's what they believed back then. Suck it up, brah. Even you must agree that that's what they thought happened back then. Do you really think that the simpleton's back then knew they were wrong on so many things and didn't do anything about it?
Which you know is wrong.

And can't find any flaws in my interpretation of reading Genesis allegorically.
Except that it's not allegorical. Other than that, you're right.
Of course it is. You just admitted that 1-8 can be found in Genesis by reading it allegorically and you know reading it literally makes no sense so allegorical is all that is left.

It's like I am having to explain things to a 6 year old.
A 6 year old wouldn't agree with you either, lol.
I wouldn't expect a 6 year old to be able to understand this.
That's what you always say when someone doesn't agree with you, "Oh, you're a dummy, too stupid to understand", or some shit like that, just like a 6 year old.

It doesn't make sense the way you are reading it.

But reading it this way makes sense.

1. God created existence
2. Everything he created is good
3. What he created was done in steps
4. Man is a product of that creation
5. Man is unlike any other creature in creation
6. Man is made in God’s image in that he is a being which knows and creates
7. Man was told to go forth and be fruitful
8. Man was told to do as the original creator; to create for 6 days and then rest
9. Man knows right from wrong
10. Rather than abandoning the concept of right and wrong when man does wrong, he rationalizes he didn’t do wrong
11. Successful behaviors naturally lead to success
12. Failed behaviors naturally lead to failure
13. Pass it down to the next generation

What about this doesn't make any sense?
You wrote it, therefore it's your opinion, not empirical fact. That's all.
Ummmm, yes. I wrote it from reading Genesis allegorically. It's an interpretation. It was never represented as anything else.

My question - which you don't seem to be able to answer - is what about this interpretation doesn't make sense?
1. It's only an opinion that god created existence. It's more of a philosophical debate because it'll always be impossible to know.
2. no, suffering, retardation, deformity, stupidity... Part of "His" universe.

3. Science has already shown that, first the gas, then gravity clumps it together... So no big revelation there.
4. Man is a product of the universe dust... Science has postulated that for a long time.
5,6,7 & 8 are simply bible bs. Are deformed people made in god's image?
The rest is your usual mumbo jumbo that's all opinions, not proven facts.
I'm not asking you if they are correct, dummy. The question is do those conclusions represent what is written in Genesis.
Ok, those simplistic parables from 1 to 8 are pretty much found in the bible, sure. Your other mumbo jumbo sort of as well, the same kind of inanities.
This is progress. Actually those other ones are in there as well. Pick one and I'll show you.
Ok, sure. But what are you getting at here? :dunno:
I'm telling you that 1-13 is in Genesis. Pick one of the ones you don't believe is in there and I will show you how it is in there.

Nope. I don't care what you believe.

This is about you not budging on Genesis being read literally when you know it doesn't make sense to read Genesis literally. That is all this is, Taz.

This is about you creating straw man arguments by reading Genesis literally so you don't have to have honest conversations about what Genesis is really saying.

Specifically...

1. God created existence
2. Everything he created is good

Taz, these accounts were passed down orally from generation to generation for thousands of years before they got written down. There was no writing of the Bible so to speak. These were their accounts of history and wisdom that were passed down orally. This was their understanding of the origin questions. The ultimate questions that mankind has always asked itself. Theirs just happen to be incredibly accurate.

No. I am showing that the account is allegory.
To you. Who else?
Yes, to me. And apparently to you too.
But nobody cares about your personal opinions, it's what you can prove.
I don't know about that and it wouldn't matter if it were true. I care. That's all I need. And apparently you care too because you oppose this for the same reason you oppose the universe being created from nothing; you understand the implication and that scares you.

Jeremiah Chapter 7

They were dealing with each other unjustly Jeremiah 7:5

They were oppressing foreigners Jeremiah 7:6

They were oppressing the fatherless {orphans} and
widows {the defenseless} Jeremiah 7:6

They were killing innocent people Jeremiah 7: 6

They were stealing, murdering, committing adultery and
committing perjury in the courts. Jeremiah 7:9

God spoke to them again and again and told them to stop
doing all these sins, but they refused to listen to Him and
they kept on murdering innocent people. Jeremiah 7:13

They were stiff-necked and would not listen and obey the
Lord -- they refused to respond o His correction. Jeremiah 7:24-28

They even murdered their own children by burning them in fire as
sacrifices to their blood-thirsty false gods. Jeremiah 7:30-31

God spoke to them repeatedly and told them to stop murdering
innocent people, and to stop stealing, and to stop oppressing
widows and orphans and to stop murdering their children by
offering them in the fires as sacrifices to their false blood-thirsty
gods -- but they de facto told God, "No we will NOT stop
murdering innocent people." See all of Jeremiah chapter 7

So?

So God destroyed them and gave their dead bodies to the birds
of the air and they became meals for the vultures -- "food for
the birds" Jeremiah 7:32-33

Concluding Remarks:
No human is forced to choose wrongly and thereby bring destruction
upon themselves. God gave us free will and we can choose to listen
to Him and obey His commands. He knows what is best for us and
He has made a way for us to say no to destructive sin and wrong doing.

The Lord Jesus opened our path to forgiveness and peace with
God by His death on the Cross. He purchased our salvation by
shedding His blood on Calvary. His death and Resurrection created
a New Covenant {a New Testament} between God and humanity.

"Whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life.
He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
John 5:24

"Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1

You too, today, can find peace with God , , , ,

"To all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave
the right to become children of God." John 1:12

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your savior, simply pray
this simple prayer from the heart:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your
forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the
dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart
and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
In Your Name. Amen."

"Seems like we should have been turned into vulture food by now, what happened?"__Ben Thomson
Here is what happened:
LOVE.
There is a lot of LOVE in America and in the West.
We care for each other.
But you have to look with "good eyes" to see it.
You have to start googling "How much do Americans give away to charities"
You have to google "America's top charity organizations"
You have to stop and face the FACT that hundreds of millions of Americans and Westerners
do in FACT live their lives to help their loved ones and friends and even strangers -- doing this
has a name -- we call it LOVE -- and LOVE defeats sin and evil.
So to answer your question: What happened is LOVE happened.
But , ,
, , ,those people in Jeremiah chapter 7 {the Opening Post} were people that practiced the very opposite of LOVE.

JAG

PS
Remember God told Abraham that He would spare the wicked city of Sodom
if He could find even 10 good people there.
America and the West has not 10 good people but tens of millions of good LOVING people.

lol. Buncha lightweights.
Buncha lightweights? How many people have you brought down? Anything you say here is forgotten by the next post.

It's taking a while, but religion is slowly being abandoned. Especially by smart people.
Like you :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:?
Scientists Aren’t Religious, So Why Should You Be?
Millennials Are Leaving Religion And Not Coming Back
...
First, we know you're a lightweight b/c you can't explain it in your own words.

Second, only four in ten millennials left (and they could come back when they're older).

As for your first link, it's from 2007 (old as yer pud) and today's scientists are mostly atheist. We still have creation scientists which the article ignored.

Another fail on your lightweight part.
There's no such thing as a creation scientist, b/c creation can't be proven scientifically.

And you can't deny, and didn't, that people are leaving religion in droves, because science has shown it to be wrong about way too many things.
That's your ignorance or a lie. I read a thread today that showed creation happened. You know Einstein's equation E=mc2 (squared). Humans can turn matter into energy, but they can't turn energy into matter m=E/c2 (squared). Thus, that is scientific evidence of God. How else did the universe, Earth, and everything in it come to be. It goes to show you and your atheist scientists are wrong, wrong, wrong and evolution is just a theory.
If that's scientific evidence of god, then you should have no problem linking me to a REAL science sight that says this. And none of your fake creation science nonsense, they are NEVER based on science, just the same twisted illogical nonsense that you just put forward.

Just because science hasn't completely solved the Big Bang mystery doesn't mean that it automatically points to an invisible being who rules over everything. C'mon brah, get a grip.
You just got pw3nd and exposed as someone who doesn't know science. Do you know what c2 (squared) is? How can someone make that? Second, what did the matter to energy (which humans can do) create?

I don't want to waste time talking to the scientific illiterate dumbarse which many posters here think you are.
HOLY OBFUSCATION BATMAN!!

So you can't link me. Got it. All you have is fartsmoke.
As usual you can't answer my questions (only two) so until you can a link won't help you. We've discovered not much can help you as you just keeping making sh*t up. It fits why evolution is just a theory.

I never said that God created the BB. You're just too stupid to know what you're reading... like the bible.

Science doesn't know where and how the BB came from. So you invented an invisible magic man to fill the gap. What a rube.
No, we discovered you were the braggadocio who ended up being the lightweight. Now, you're denying what atheist scientists have claimed. It is obvious you can't put 2+2 together.
"Atheist" scientists say they can't yet see all the way back to the BB, so only have THEORIES, for lack of any hard evidence. But lack of hard evidence never bothered you. Too bad. A little more critical thinking is in order.
Well those are dumb atheist scientists since they have discovered the CMB as proof that the universe had a beginning. Next, the universe had to have energy for matter to form and expand. What do you know... God created space, light (EMS), and separated the light from dark to form night and day (24-hrs) for the Earth.

On the other hand, your side made up a fairy tale. It's the atheist religion disguised as science, i.e. wrong and fake science.
