As someone who was raised all his young life to be a Baptist preacher but is now a deist I can say although the teaching of the bible are good for leading a good life they are teachings. nothing more, nothing less.

I do find it interesting that so much of the world have same things happening in cultures that had no knowledge of each other.

Well, you're certainly free to believe whatever you like. But the Bible is not written as just good teachings. It is written to reveal the only way to salvation. Jesus Christ.

Again, you don't have to believe it. But don't fool yourself that it is written as just 'good teachings'.

There is no the bible. Its the Pentateuch 5 books and they are all different. Genesis is an allegory. Levitcus is civil law so thats literal.

Lets look at Christians. They slaughtered the Gnostics, massacred Muslims in Constantinople, persecuted Jews for 2000 years and finally discovered the 10 commandments given to them by Jews.

Since there is no original sin or fall of man in Genesis Jesus could not have existed. Jesus is an idol.

Oh yes, there is 'the Bible'.

Genesis is no allegory. Just because you say so means nothing. You don't believe your own Bible.

Any success of the Jews is based on the blessing of God given to Abraham. Not because they did anything right. In fact, they did everything wrong. They rejected Moses. They rejected Joseph. The persecuted and killed the prophets. The Northern tribes were slaughtered and taken away by the Assyrians because of idolatry and their rejection of God who gave them the revelation. The Southern tribes later were equally guilty of idolatry and rejected their God and were slaughtered by the Babylonians and taken into captivity.

Did they learn anything...of course not. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Jews were faithful to their fathers showing they were truly sons of their fathers and killed Christ also. And as I said, the Jews are today under the heel of the Gentiles. They can't do nothing on their own without the approval of the Gentiles.

The only reason the Jews today have any success, is because God is true to His promise. Even though the Jews spit in His face, just like you do.

Just as the failure of the Jews doesn't take away from the revelation of God in the Bible, neither does any failure of Christians take away from any revelation from God in the Bible.

I'm not confused at all. I believe the Bible is the Word of God. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Saviour of mankind.

In other words, your words are meaningless to me. Believe what you want. I will believe God, and Christ, and the Bible.
