Well, it's official

Trump has already acceded to all Putin's demands, what is there to negotiate?
Peace. And of course your first sentence is based on ignorance.
Whether or not Trump will publicly give Putin a hand job at the negotiating table, or will he just do that in private?
Grow the fuck up you shallow ignorant troll.

In a win for Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia's invasion, the U.N. General Assembly on Monday refused to approve a U.S.-backed resolution that urged an end to the war without mentioning Moscow's aggression. Instead, it approved a European-backed Ukrainian resolution demanding Russia immediately withdraw its forces, which the Trump administration opposed.

History will take notice
Now why would Trump oppose Putin withdrawing his forces from Ukraine?

More history unfolding right before us, folks:

Watching a meeting of Parliament in the UK, our former friends and former allies are solemnly severing ties. From an MP:

"Now the United States is voting with Russia, Belarus and North Korea in the United Nations. President Trump labels President Zelensky a 'dictator', but not Vladimir Putin.

"The events of the past few days are clear... We may be watching, before our very eyes, the betrayal of our Ukranian allies by America. And with it, the potential betrayal of Europe and of Britain, too. Now it is up to the United Kingdom to lead in Europe."

So it's a done deal: MAGA gets what it wants -- the loss of our European friends and allies, and a much closer "relationship" with a murderous, lying dictator who literally hates the West. I'm sure this makes perfect sense in their minds.

I applaud your willingness to be so openly wrong.
Keep up the good work.

What a childish and limited view.

One can easily vote against a UN “resolution” about Russia without being on Putin’s “side.” If the President sees such finger-pointing as being deleterious to HIS ongoing efforts to negotiate a peaceful end to that war, he is free to vote against the resolution. )Probably more about the phrasing than about the truth of the matter.)

Personally, it seems clear that Russia — which did invade the sovereign nation of Ukraine — is primarily responsible for the war. But negotiating peace deals isn’t made any easier when you have to deal with meaningless UN “resolutions.”
Not understanding? Why would WE vote against our better interest,?
And vote in favor of a country that attacked UKRAINE. And is controlled by a DICTATOR?
EVEN if for some reason you do not support the UN.

Not clear why you inserted my prior post there.

Maybe you’re just being obtuse?
We cant go back & try & put our energy on what BIDEN did or did not do.
We have a new president, And want to know what & why & where he is putting his support.

Tell us what actions the Trump admin should take, or are you too much of a coward to put your thoughts out here?

Who said anything about rewarding anything? Trump is looking to ending a war, stopping the destruction, stopping the killing, and leaving two nations in peace. What problem do you have with him trying to accomplish that? That U.N. resolution absolutely would have zero positive effect on the problem.
Just have a hard time thinking that giving your country to a dictator,
shows an honest measure of how we judge peace.

I am not giving my country to a dictator. I am supporting a government that is restoring power to the people and restoring the government to one that is honest, efficient, effective, competent and does not waste the people's money or spend it irresponsibly. A government that serves the people instead of its own purposes.

Was this the final vote on the final version of the resolution?
No. It wasn't
You omitted the rest of the story, which amounts to a lie.

The United States, reflecting the extraordinary turnaround under President Donald Trump, joined Russia in voting against a Europe-backed Ukrainian resolution. The U.S. then abstained from voting on its own resolution after Europeans succeeded in amending it.

-The US did not vote with Russia here.
-The US did not vote against the resolution.

All you people can do is lie.
well ----sorta-----but in the end it turned out ok-----
uhm----let's try to imagine that Donald wanted it that way

It is like a mob boss...

It is highly embarrassing to the US that the President is not only a convicted criminal, he acts like one too..

We just sided with 7 of the 10 most repressive countries in the world plus Hungary in a vote against the free world. We have crossed the Rubicon.
In fairness Hungry is just corrupt as shit...
Orban is a kleptocrat who idolises the the daddy kleptocrat, Putin...
Trump is a want to be kleptocrat...

Walks up to Putin, 'Can I be your friend because all the smart kids laugh at me'...

Thoughts and prayers! After Helsinki, why are you so surprised. Trump is the REAL Manchurian Candidate and was the first time he ran for office. Why do you think he was so obsessed with the Russian Interference Investigation.
Seriously, If Russia had Trump as a Manchurian Candidate, do you think Putin wouldn't have said, Can you get one smarter and talks less shit...
In 2017, when Trump was first in office, he went to Germany and ripped Angela Merkel for the low rate of defense spending in Germany. When WWII ended, the Allies disarmed Germany because the nation had lead the world into two World Wars in less than 25 years. The agreement was that NATO would defend West Germany, so no army was needed.
Fucksake Dragonlady, you go there reading things like books...

I never thought that I would live to see the day when an American President would tell Germany to re-arm. After that, I knew anything could happen with Trump.
All bets are off with Trump, there is no adult in the room...
Everything is for sale... Trump is peddling influence and power for bargain prices..
