Now that Trump has culled the primary herd, he now has four Republicans that have nothing to lose. In addition, as we have seen the House recently voted to end the Iran War, and other Republicans are openly revolting against his home improvement projects and recent cabinet levels picks (Pulte). But yeah, after the midterms all eyes will be on the '28 race. Hell, he might even get more done with the distraction.

Maybe, but he's going to ignore convention and decency on pretty everything and dare someone to do something.

This Pulte pick is a perfect example. Trump is surrounding himself with unqualified but loyal attack dogs, as despots always do.

So the damage can surely be done before Congress can do anything about it. That list is pretty long already.

Actually the House vote will not effect the war against Iran. The resolution now has to go to the Senate where it still needs to take a final vote to officially pass it. But even if it passes both chambers of Congress, President Trump is almost certain to veto it. Congress would then need a two-thirds majority in both the House and the Senate to override the veto and make it legally binding, a threshold they currently do not have the numbers to meet.

To top it off, the White House ballroom is also currently actively under construction, despite the legal battles.

In Trump’s final years in office he has no intention to do anything that benefits the American people. If you want to know what Trump will do in the next few years, just ask: what can Trump do to enrich Trump, his family and his cronies. That will be your answer.
 
Right now he is focused on Iran and the next election.... republicans will keep the house and senate.... that's not a lame ducks actions....
