Well, it's official

The United States, reflecting the extraordinary turnaround under President Donald Trump, joined Russia in voting against a Europe-backed Ukrainian resolution. The U.S. then abstained from voting on its own resolution after Europeans succeeded in amending it.

This requires us to pause for a moment and consider the fullness of the ramifications. Once the Europeans changed the language in the original US resolution to reflect reality, that Russia and only Russia is responsible for Ukraine's invasion, the US would not support it.

trumpian denial of reality, prevalent on so many issues, has now infected our work in the UN. Actually, it's their work. Not my work or the work of any American who still has respect for what is true and what is not.
How how well have the past gazillion resolutions in the past three years condemning Russia worked?

Since when is rewarding a butcher for his war crimes smart?

I must be difficult to accept the fact that Donald Trump is your President we understand it.....TDS and all that..

But really, you should get a grip of yourself! :rolleyes-41:

A resolution which only would have seen a continuation and prolongation of the war. It was a preamble to still trying to wheedle Ukraine into NATO.

Like I said. They abstained. They did not vote siding with Russia. Russia voted no.
Really wish you didn't talk out your ass so much.

Who said anything about rewarding anything?
I did. Putin has broken international law on multiple fronts, including committing war crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine. The Europeans have put together another military aid package to prevent Putin from being rewarded for those heinous actions. trump is extorting them for their minerals while caving in to Putin, aligning US foreign policy against Europe and with out enemy.

You my friend are either retarded or disingenuous. I'd like to think you are just a liar so I dont have to worry about you getting by daily. US voted with Russia against the world.

I think you have your news information badly mixed up. Do try to read more reliable sources. And have a lovely evening.

Perhaps you've spent too long relying on the kind of denial of objective reality reflected in the US's refusal to sign their own resolution once it contained the truth.

Here's a test of your relationship with the truth. Who is responsible for the Russian invasion of Ukraine?

You my friend are either retarded or disingenuous.

Blow it out your pie hole idiot. While socialist Europe sides with Ukraine in an effort to continue the war and make Ukraine a NATO country, Trump is taking the difficult position of trying to end the war, even if it puts him at odds with Europe.

I don't see how so many countries would vote on something so unrealistic......~S~

In a win for Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia's invasion, the U.N. General Assembly on Monday refused to approve a U.S.-backed resolution that urged an end to the war without mentioning Moscow's aggression. Instead, it approved a European-backed Ukrainian resolution demanding Russia immediately withdraw its forces, which the Trump administration opposed.

History will take notice
Hail the UN!
